Hi
First time poster on this forum!
I am a new driver and as all new drivers do, I'm finding insurance an
insane problem! the only way I can see of getting insurance for a resonable
price is on my mums car (Skoda Fabia V reg) as the third driver. I could
probably just about stretch to that, but being on my mums car isn't ideal
as she takes it to work every day and it's not exactly the essence of
cool!
Anyway, recently I found that classic car insurance is far cheaper than
normal car insurance if you do it on limited milage, which would be fine
for me cause I wouldn't be driving that far that often. Does anyone know if
classic car insurers would insure me (newly passed my test 18 years old)
I really fancy a classic car and I'd be much more willing to fork out for a
car than fork out for insurance on my parents car!

highly doubt it, but it depends on the company
i think it takes an age of 25 an up, worth a check though

Because insuring a car is completely different in the UK and US, and most
of this forums members are in the US, that would be a hard question to
answer. Wouldn't it be logical to simply ring up an insurer and ask? If
you don't have a company in mind I'll be happy to provide a couple of UK
classic car insurers names for you.

A week down the road and not even a simple thank you. You're viewing the
forum as I type this so please, no excuses. I thought people in the UK
were raised with manners.

Manners? you bloody wat, your avin a laugh mate lol..I could respond to
this thread but all I was going to say has already been said, although, for
a young driver, driving a classic aint exactly cool either Gavin and
Skoda's aint that bad anymore, I'd get your name on the Skoda's insurance
for now at least!

Retro cars are extremely cool! Especially if it's red and has no roof.
Oh and sorry I didn't reply - I didn't want to seem like i was bumping the
thread!

Thanking someone for an answer or continuing in dialog is not a "bump." :)
It's just proper manners. And we love manners around here!
