How low should I drop her?
How would a roll pan look on it?

Drop her maybe 3"-4" (not too much), and a rool pan would look pretty cool. Also add on a hard plastic tonneau (sp?) cover and remove that emblem(s) off the rear.. maybe add some tint to the wondows too lol.

See the thing about the emblems is it will be different shaded paint

Oh ya, thats true. Then leave them on, they dont look that bad.

Just drop it about 3". A roll pan would look good on it. Are you going for a street of off road look? Cause I got some ideas for both...

Alright then what year is this? And what engine does it have?

Some nice 17" or 18" rims would look really good on it. Tint the windows to the legal limit, and put some neons under it. Some red ones would look good....or are you painting it a different color?

It is the 2.3 liter I4 and its a 93 stepside(splash), and I plan on keeping it the same color, 17's or 18's? Hmm, maybe 16 or 17, 18 would be ****ed up if i lowered it

I think 16's would look pretty sweet. I'm not really into the big wheel, low-pro tire setups. I think Cragar (or cheaper know-off) would be cool, maybe Torque Thrust II's. If you do ever go to paint it, i'd redo it the same color it is now.

I would go with some 17" ASA TRSs' wrapped in some Nittos.
Erebuni bodykit (http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/dsp_large_pic.cfm?vpic=LErebuni212Body Kit.jpg)
I think this would look really nice on it, with some neons under it and then put on a K&N air intake!

a 3/5 drop kit would be ok, but I like the looks of a 4/6 kit, myself.. ;) measure how far you have from the tops of the tires to the tops of the wheelwell opening. You'd be surprised at how much room you have to go down...

A 3 in front and 5 in back? Wouldn't it look better the other way around?

Yeah thats what Im thinking.... :screwy:

get some Daytons jk lol hey i got a project truck too

As far as i know most rearends are higher then the frints, therefore you gotta lower it more to equal out.

I dont know, i forget the reason, but i know theres a reason why its done like that.

i love'm just not thier price tag lol

The other option is to get some fat off-road tyres instead of lowering. I know you want it to be a street machine, but they can still look cool

So 3/5? Could you do maybe a photoshop if you can and show me the results? I'm a little skeptical that if I have to go over a bump then will that **** up the undercarriage and front bumper?

You could always go with airbags..then you could change the ride higth whenever you wanted. That involves alot of custom work though and cash.

posted by  ciVicman

The problem with air bags is that the ride is always gonna be uneven in one spot

either a 3/1 or 4/2 rear/front drop....nice aggressive stance. fiberglass rollpan, flat chrome exhaust tip, straight out the back

i havnt had anyproblems with my airbags on my mx3 ...well yet. i like them tho talk about a head turner

I saw a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire with airbags. Except its a full blown ricer, and the guy who drives it thinks he can beat anything.

Here's the basic 3/4 kit with 18s (the truck is a little over accessorized), just to give an idea. Notice how much room is still left above the tires?

Trucks typically have their rears higher than their fronts because they expect people to actually use the truck bed for a payload. Which means if you stash 2000lbs of weight in that truck bed hopefully it wont drag its ass as it would if it was even with the front orginally.

Ok, i had a feeling, i knew there was a reason but at the time couldnt think of it, thanx.

Oo drop it 2 feet and put 22" chromes on it and a wing and tint the windows with a fart can that would look sik!!!

posted by  Oomba

YEAH THAT WOULD LOOK COOL, DICK

posted by  99integra

What the hell? I think he wants to be able to still USE the truck, so dropping it a bit and swapping wheels doesnt really take away from the trucks capability.

Wow Steve started it and Oomba's posted, it's been 3 pages, and no flame war!!! Good job Oomba!!
