Well.......not only in the south. There is a guy driving around here in a pick-up truck that has a 5 foot x-mass tree with lights and ornaments standing up in the bed. Quite the sight.

newyorker, I wouldn't worry too much about the smoking. I'm sure the sheriff in the background took care of it.

Reminds of this old beat up Dodge Ram around here that has horns attached on the hood or grille (haven't seen it lately).

Are those trampoline springs?

On the bright side, if you crash, you'll just bounce back

Oh, now I get it  !

Whoo hoo, who needs airbags when you got springs :wink2:

I'd have to test that out though...

Let me know how that turns out.

There could be some advantage with stored energy though. Kind of like a hybrid car. When you come to a stop, the springs will want to start moving back and forth. Then if you start out at the right time when the springs are moving forward the momentum of the weights at the end of the springs will help to pull the car forward.

Then again, maybe not.

There, I helped it alittle

And I'd let you know how it'd work but I would never defile (sp?) a car by doing something like that to it.

Sometimes a car must be sacrificed for the greater good. I'm sure you could find a worthy candidate out there.

Yeah, hell maybe even one in your sig! :hi:

Haha well, they were both pretty cheap lol (truck, longish story but was free and the car was under $200 lol).

I knew I shoulda gotten that Corolla from the Autoshop at school before they junked it

But then the problem would become locating a BILLION+ Springs, maybe it'd be easier to use an inflatible pool and just wrap that around a car... or a mattress :wink2:

Sadly I think that might fly in many parts of the country!
