I just picked up a 1970 Ford Galaxie Country sedan (wagon) with a 390 4v.
I am having a difficult time finding stock engine specs. If somebody knows
the hp/torque rating, compression and cam specs I would appreciate it.
On the internet it looks like it could have 315 hp with a 10.5 compression but that seems high.
Full size Fords with 390's only came from the factory with 2v carburetors
from '68-71. If you have a 4v carb, something has been changed along the

I thought it might go some way to giving him an idea what the 4V power

Yeah, but... We don't know for sure what he has for an engine because it didn't come that way from the factory. For all we know it's not een a 390. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen that.
