Is there anything else you would need to switch though? Such as my car comes with a 302 and this is only a 308, not a huge difference. But regardless would there be things that needed to be changed?

It should bolt in just fine to your Mustang Pythias. I dont know anything about the Comet so I wouldnt know if it would hook up to its mounts, tranny, etc. Just to let you know though, that auction is just for the block. You're going to want a heads to go with it.
True... and what about whether it is Speed Density or Mass Air Flow? My car
was the one year before speed density was switched to Mass Air flow, and
TONS of people are telling em I should spend the 600$ on a conversion kit
to convert form speed Density because it will make my gains THAT much
better when I buy heads...

the switch did decrease horsepower, but is better for modifying because the system can adjust itself based on modifications. It also says MAF increases driveability and fuel economy compared to speed density.

Well then I guess it will be worth it. And I don't plan on swapping a different block it, I plan on eventually having a rebuild, I'm going to check the compression ratio when I have a chance though because my friend told me that will help determine the shape of the engine is in.

Well since that is a 5.0 block, I'm sure a transmission from a 5.0L Mustang or Thunderbird would work.

Its a 5.0 block simply bored...the trans wholes will still line up perfectly fine unless they changed it throughout the years. I would check and see what kind of trans you have in your 73 because as you see on thier ad it says it is a reman. 86-95. Your compression ratio is probably going to be up to you by the size of cc the heads you put on it have. I'd like to know what combination they had in it when it put out 360 hp. I noticed it said "honed accordingly"...does that mean they honed the crap out of it or what, and why would they have to hone it if it was bored .40 over?
