I am looking to take a 1977 Chevy 350 with a 2 barrel carb out of my brothers truck and install it in my 1981 malibu wagon and was curious about performance upgrades ,I'm told that the heads will not accept a 4 barrel manifold properly?does anyone have info on this are there some sort of smog restrictions, was planning on running headers a 4 barrel carb and possibly a performer intake maybe an upgrade to ignition as well as torque converter?any suggestions helpful, the car currently has a 3.8 v6 thanks.
yes a 4 bbl intake will work. a cam, intake, and carb set up from edelbrock would wake that engine up nicely. also you may want to look into a posi unit for the rear end.
Thanks for the info,nice ride!
Depending on where you live some places don't require emissions testing for cars 20, 25 years old (differs from where you live)
Yes, Conn. no emmissions needed anymore.
then go bananas with it!!!
