AKA Ranger Danger, I just took off the pinstriping off of the back and
tomorrow I will take the side ones off, this is going to be my progress
thread for the truck and its going to be a long journey to get her
finished, parts are gonna be ordered as soon as possible, here are some
Sounds interesting, keep us posted on it.
lol is that your nighthawk I see?
Naw its my grammpas Harley, I already sold the Nighthawk:laughing:
ahaha damn, didnt you just buy it?
Lol, you retard, I haven't bought it yet. :wink2: I don't know if I want to buy it
^with Black Magic still on
I'll get better pics when I'm completely done with wheel polishing and tire shine. I got up at 7:39 this morning, washed her, put on paint cleaner which took a good hour, took it off=30 minutes, put on polish=45 minutes, took it off=20, put on Black Magic=45 minutes, took it off=40 minutes, yes I did time it all lol. So I spent a good couple of hours finishin her up even though she ain't quite done yet. :ohcrap:
Mmm mmm all done
I see.....no love
looks damn pretty man! Looks almost like a shine I would put on the M:wink2:
...time to remake your sig.....
Nice truck...but the interior, completely repulsive IMO.
You look 11.
I was just thinking that.....but would not have mentioned it if you hadn't, lol........soz Teggs, you know we're only messin'. Nice job, would look nicer in Baywatch yellow, with a lightbar on the roof, lol
It looks good, now all you need is some blacked out rims with chrome lips
Well, I guess it looks..... OK,
But it would look much better if it was in my drive. I've got a '92 but it don't have quite that much shine. Looks good!
Wait...why was there a Chrysler logo on your truck? lol
bought as a traded-in car from a chrysler dealership i think
its funny how here where I live, the kia and hyundai dealers are side by side and they have dodge rams and mustangs and all this other random stuff there
 Wow looking nicer then those pictures you sent me on msn. Hmmmm I
find 1 slight problem with ur truck.............................No GMC logo
I'm just playing, keep up the good:thumbs:work:clap: and I should Have the Pictures of my truck uploaded to my comp soon if you still want to see her. I dont have pictures before I started to work on it. So far, painted underbody, removed rear bumper, installed 2 Pioneer 6x9's with a Clarion deck, 2 purple and 1 black neon inside the cab, anti theft light. Just working on getting it etested then I'm gonna go pick up a Viper Muffler and run duel out the side.
well I'll tell you more on messager
you look funny with that head band on, but the truck looks alot better, alot cleaner on the outside. good work
Now that shes all cleaned up don't you just want to **** her? :hi:
I can honestly say thats the nicest ranger I have ever seen.
Damn pretty man!
Haha thanks man!
Mmm fresh still in the box
I think some diamond clears are in order for my next mod. I like how it makes a sort of blue triangle with the Ford emblem and the two lights. :2cents:
Darker, damn things are brighter than my headlights
Any reason behind taking the rainbow stripes off? You still got the rainbow headband tho lol
Hah the reason being I like a clean look and it was gay, I get more compliments when I drive and park it now, and the rainbow headband would be courtesy of my grammpa pickin it up and wrappin it around my head, it was still sticky as hell so I didn't take it off cuh it hurt
Next up...blue neon this weekend for underneath. Next it'll be blue neon in the grill, wheel well, door handles, and winshield wiper sprayers. Its gonna be a glow worm. :wink2:
The wiring is a bitch man I can't find a good conection, so tomorrow I'll get em lighted hopefully.
Look Marge, it's a rice Ranger!
Call it what you want but its personalization to me. :wink2:
Call it what you want, but it's rice to everyone else. Consider yourself lucky I didn't get on your ass about your "The wiring is a bitch man I can't find a good conection..." comment. That is possibly the easiest wiring job ever... At least for someone with a minimal grasp of electricity.
Heh I was very suprised I didn't get too bad of a comment..
Well it told us to wire it directly to the parking lamp fuse and we're having a helluva time to get the damn thing to work. It will work if we wire it right to the battery but then it would stay on all the time. The problem we're having is we spliced the white to white and black to black together so its just 2 wires and not 4 that have to go to the fuse. All it is is we just have to find a good connection because...well we have bad splices lol. We worked too hard getting the damn things in the cowl so we ran out of steam to do anything else right haha, plus we're electricaly challenged people.
Run both grounds (black) to the firewall. There should be plenty of little gorund wires attached there to use. Run both positives (white) to the power wire AT one of the parking lights and use a Scotchlock connector. The entire job should take no more than 20 minutes, no holes in the firewall and no trash wires under the dash. If you're really a good boy, I'll tell you how to make them flash with the turn signals.
We actually have a small hole in the firewall right to the left of the clutch pedal that has a rubber plug with a hole in it to run wires through. The rubber plug didn't have a hole so I drilled a tiny one in it when I was installing the fog light switch. We have a Scotchlock connector too so thats one thing to mark off. I'll try it tomorrow thanks Hobo. Now, how would we wire it to the turn signals? Thats unique
No it's not, you just don't spend enough time listening to old timers like me. :wink2:
Hehe well the youth today seems to not be at its keenest for listening ay? Now if I were to listen to you old timers, then maybe I could be told how to wire them so they flash with the turn signals? :wink2:
Well then.. I am all ears..Mr. Hobo. :wink2:
I'm in the process of buying this sub right now, so when I get it I'll take pics of where it is and a vid of how much bump it puts out!
Aww damn you Steven. Dont get an Audiobahn sub man! :banghead:
Huh..? lol
Audiobahn is junnnnk man. They're loud as hell, but have absolutely no clarity. Get a nice Eclipse or Rockford Fosgate :smoke:
Thanks to this dill hole revivin my thread I can remember to update, I found out I have a dim light on my right side and the other light is far more brighter so it doesn't look as good. :ohcrap:
I say nay on that sub
Nay ay? Got any recomendations?
Could I possibly put a 10' Alpine Type-R instead of the Audiobahns sub in the tube and run the same 100 watt amp?
type-r's are good, the 12's are brutal, one of the loudest cars in the world is has 2 12"s in a tcab box, BUT i dont know about 100 watts, check the rms
lol @ type-r speakers
I told you before....on a few occasions. Bazooka tubes will most likely fit right under your seats...you might even be able to squeze in 2 of em
I have Bazookas installed in several car/trucks. Trust me when I tell you that even a 6" tube won't fit under the seat of his truck.
How do you like your subs hobo and can I possibly get a sound clip of them in action?
Thats why he has to make a trip to circuit city, and ask them to take a
sample tube and stick it under there to see if its gona fit. They did back
when I wanted one in the trunk of my neon. For me they had it hooked up to
sattelite radio, so he can hear how the bass is. Also, here are some
pioneer subs that should fit under ur seats.
I love them for the type of ICE I need/want. Of course, I don't enter
stereo comps or want to impress the other little kids at Wal-Mart with my
ability to make my undercar neon rattle either. As for the sound clip, I
can barely upload a picture so I don't see it happening. :wink2:
What f*cking part of it will not fit under his seat don't you understand? I'm well aware of the dimensions of a tube and I'm well aware of the underseat space in his Ranger. Are you reverting to your old self? You did so well for a few weeks.
Bro I need a powered sub seein I don't wanna replace my headunit it does
its job well enough.
And why the hell do you think I did this
Looks like it would sit a Bazooka quite nicely doesn't it?
Haha alright fair enough, do you have the 100 watt 6 inch? If you do how loud can you turn it up (how hard will it hit) without the bass sounding papery or distorted?
Yes it will. Make sure you position the port toward the rear of the cab. Trust me.
I have 6's, 8's and 10's in various vehicles. In a cab the size of yours,
the 6" will hit hard enough to rattle trim, vibrate sheetmetal and be
annoying after about a minute or so. Either the 6" or 8" will fit nicely
between your seats as they're 18+" long. I think the 10" will be too long
because it's closer to 22". You have to have at least 6" to 8" clearance
between the port and any structure. I've found they sound better, striclty
in my opinion, when faced toward something solid instead of under the dash.
I figure it has something to do with having something even/straight to
reflect off of instead of the pedals/shifter/legs/etc.
I am not a stereo expert, but this is my direct experience.
At Circuit City they have a 50 watt 10 that I might try and if I'm not
satisfied with how it is I'll return it and go for the 100 watt.
So what your saying is I should have the sub's speaker facing the rear sliding window instead of facing my shifter?
Yep. Have you tried Crutchfield (http://www.crutchfield.com)?
Yessir first place I went :wink2:, thats where I got the idea for the 10
inch 100 watt Audiobahn for like 179.00.
I really want to go with that one
But I REALLY want to get this one, I have about 23-24 inches until I would have a problem of the sub getting hit when I shift to 2nd, 4th, and reverse so it most likely would fit.
EDIT: You know an 8 inch would suffice plus its my 1st vehicle and I need to concentrate on the road more than the bass in my music, so I'll just get the smaller sub and not try and make an asshole out of myself by having so much bass in that little cab that it will rattle like hell.
You can't go that big because you have to have sufficient air space. The installation directions explain the reasons why better than I can. After all, I'm just a dummy that likes my Skynyrd and Metallica loud.
Hmm alright, sounds like I'm goin 8 inch 100 watt! When I get it I'll post
an audio vid of it playin a RIDICULOUSLY bassy song called Late Night Tip
by Three Six Mafia. :wink2:
Skynyrd is classic, you like Molly Hatchet?
you know hey make custom boxes that fit behind the seat of your truck. that way you can put whatever was between your seats back where it belongs. bazookas are ok i guess, just not my cup of tea. i like big amps with sealed boxes. i fit 3 10's behind the seat of my '88 ranger when i had it. after i get the 429 between the rails and running on my project ranger, im going to build an in bed box and port it to the cab. should sound sick:thumbs:
God I love the bed box ported to the cab I would LOVE to do that, just don't have the time, patience and know how to do it hehe, I too am one for big subs and big amps, my dads 03 Altima has 2 10's in the back that really bump, I just need somethin small that gives me nice clean bass that I don't need to replace my headunit with :wink2:

Uhh NO! Don't buy it Steven. In order to save $10, you're going to get a used, possibly damaged tube with no mounts, instructions or warranty. On the other hand, Crutchfield will take care of you for the rest of your life and you get a brand new part in a sealed box. Most times, the cheapest option isn't the best value. This is definitely one of those times.
Well your right, audio products are ALWAYS abused at least a little bit, too much urge to turn it up loud! Plus Crutchfield comes with warranties..hmm alright, looks like I'm definately goin there.
Looks like we have a weiner :wink2:
Steven, you know you're comparing a BTA8100 and a BTA8200.
Yeah I just don't wanna break my bank :ohcrap:
I'd like to be able to put some money back into the bank and save up
I would LOVE to have the 200 watt but I would need to get some money out of my other accounts and I don't wanna do that, but we'll see, I've been known to splurge
On a side note, if you put the tube there, it will make a nice armrest lol
That was my plan :wink2:
I can't help to wonder if I should do one of these since they're cheaper than Crutchfield but have never been used either. :ohcrap:
How come there's the CF logo next to the URL?
Haha idkk cause I'm obsessed?
Finally I'll have it in by this weekend
and god blesses you with a speaker:laughing:
I'm gettin impatiant its not even shipped yet...3 day shipping
Shipped today will be here by Friday and installed Saturday
Shiiiit I can't wait at all
and a dude just posted today on a local forum a 10 inch jbl sub in a bazooka tube for 50 dollars
Haha shit JBL is awesome, if this sub doesn't suit my needs I'm puttin a 200 watt 8 inch Polk Audio in it, the Polk hits better than the JBL
I tihnk the bazooka will be awesome..all inspired by me
Haha and my 40 year old neighbor who thinks he's 20
mid life crisis anyone
Lol he has like a Caprice on 26's and like 4 12' subs with a candy paint job, crazy ol man haha
Quite the odd journey I shall say myself
Finally...she has come ::angels start to sing and heavens door opens up::
That is one purrrrdy tube:clap:
So when can we hear it? :hi:
God this camera sure as hell cannot get the lows :ohcrap:, but this sub hits hard, hits loud, hits deep and is totally MORE than what I was expecting!
This one is a little better, opinions?
Can't really tell how low it's hitting and stuff but it sounds nice and clean
Haha its hittin about 30hz
Yeah, I saw that on the site. That's pretty close to the "brown note"
The only thing that makes this Ranger Dangerous is whose behind the wheel.
See man I told you from the very beginning that it was a good sub...BTW do you have the sub pointing at the back wall, or the shifter?
At the back wall, gives it more of a thump :wink2:
And Pythias I won't argue with that statement
happy with it thus far?
Very, I've had a cop tell me to turn it down already... It sounds damn good and hits hard in my little truck, a 6 would have done pretty good too!
See newyorker IS good for something here:laughing:
