This is my 03 Pontiac Grand Pirx GTP. Its got some mods on it already. Rate
my car on a 1 to 10 scale (10 being the best)
4! That rating would go up if you got rid of the guage pods, windshield
banner and especially the "racing stripes". The stripes alone would gain
you about three points.
Nice clean engine though.
Might want to post what mods there are...It looks nice though. Real clean . I give it a 8/10.
I plan on getting rid of the racing stipes and the "under pressure" thing
on the window. The privious owner put that on there.
The mods I have on the car so far are:
The guage's on the Pillar
K&N Air intake
It has a little ove 40k miles
what vwhobo said, but currently Id give it a 6
3.5, I don't really like those in the first place.
Sell the pillar and fake ram air hood, and use the $ you got to buy a
regular GP hood and an aftermarket pulley.:2cents:
7/10 when you lose the stripes and window sticker.
4... lose the stripes.:2cents:
im giving it a good solid 5 for keeping it clean and treatin it well, other than that, not my favorite motor
sell that hood and get a GXP hood.
gauge pods are okay if they are functional.
get rid of that awful wood trim interior and replace it with the standard grey.
8/10, I like it. Does it just have Borla Exhaust? What about headers and midpipe?
Looks nice. I like the way you set up an aftermarket boost guage to a stock supercharger...never seen that done before. 8/10
my brother had that in his 98 Regal GS.. it looked sweet... he also has oil
pressure and tranny temp... he didnt watch that one too close though cus he
fried 2 trannies in it before trading it in for something with a better
his mod list included a smaller pullie, CAI (a real one) and some ignition stuff... it was a nice car with a bad tranny.
I dont like the GXP hoods
The gauge's do work. Why would I put gauge's in the car if they didnt work?
The previous owner put that wood in there. Im going to replace it with Carbin Fiber.
Im not selling the hood.(and it is functional). I do plan on getting a pully system.
Just borla exhaust. Stock headers(which I plan on updating) and midpipe.
I got rid of the Stipe's today
I think they meant the big ones, but as long as you like it, dont let others tell you any different
Newsflash. Unless you mean you threw out all of your REM CD's, no you
didn't. Those big ugly red things are still there.
Ironic, isn't it. He still seems to have his stripe too.
He got rid of the pinstripes from the look of it
Hobo's talking about those big ungly red things that run down the middle of his hood, skip over his roof, and continue on over his trunk.
I didn't actually notice the small stripes before he said they'd gone, lol....I'm glad they have though. I give it a 7/10, I don't mind the big stripes so much, however, they look much nicer in his sig
man dont listen to these idiots with the stripes it look freakin good it actually make like like this car!! :smoke:
And yet you still haven't rated it...
I rate it 7 because of the red stripes over the hood, the hood itself and the gummy tires/small wheels.
gummy tires? small wheels? not everyone likes to be rollin on 22's dawg.
I didn't say exactly what I meant to.
I mean: The wheels look good enough. They can be 14", 15", 17"... It doesn't really matter. But the tires are HUGE... I'd say: 215/90?
I mean, gummy tires don't look good. These are WAY TOO GUMMY, you can roll comfortably on 215/50, can't you?
That's what I mean.
I cannot tell the size of the rims or the tires by looking at these pictures, but they're the first thing I noticed when looked at them.
I didn't mean to tell him to buy 24" PIMP SUV rims with spinners... Although they kinda go with the stripes hahahahaha just kidding.
Those are no way in hell or the name of jesus 90 series. from an eye view, they look like 60-65, and tirerack says they are 225/60-16
I was making an example.
225/60 are balloons to me.
ops sorry mmm ill give it a 8 because i dont really like this car but the way you have it kickass!
really clean the color of the stripes arent that great. i would give it a 5/10
3, dont care for the GTP or the gauge cluster that shows the voltage:thumbs: I dont care for the racing stripes either but that is a really clean engine
Ill give you a 7. I respect when a FWD car can do pulley, tune and exhaust
and run in the 13s.
I like the striped which is strange becaus emy car has some and Im pullin them. Loose the wood grain. Get some 17s and 35 or 40 series tires. and I like it. Wheels really make or break a car and us GM guys that got stock ugly 16s just have to suffer.
i guess from my standpoint being more of an import guy id give it a 7.5 on the cleanliness and i agree u should lose the stripes and put in racing seats and get a new hood:2cents:
What is it with everyone and racing seats? Everytime I go somewhere there's a million cars with racing seats. They're great if you have a race car, but this definitely seems like a daily driver. Racing seats look bad (to me) in an otherwise stock interior car. More importantly, they are uncomfortable for daily driving. [/RANT]
back to topic. apart from the stripes, i like it. weve got a couple GTP grandprixs at my dealership, and theyre definatly fun. i guess we just sold an 02, and we just got in an 05... its pretty quick too..
 well the only reason i say that is if you get the right seats they are pretty comfortable i had a friend that put some really nice seats and i sat in them and damn they where comfortable they had a memory foam padding so they where pretty spendy but he said they where worth every penny i dont know if he had them specially made or he bought them aftermarket they had no identification on them so i guess they where specially made but they where comfortable but im more of an import guy myself
however, comma, the stock leather seats are nice
i like the guage pods but dat windshield banner and especially the racing stripes got to go n spray some wet paint on dat n maybe some 19's or 20's
yea dawg..look at the post date
