Hey all, we just got a 1995 Chevrolet C1500 Ext Cab with a 305 in it and we
can't find a couple things out (haven't had a chance to find a manual).
So my first question is: Can anyone tell me what the spark plug gap should be for this engine? (it's a completely stock 305, the plugs are gapped at 45 right now..)
My second question is: Can anyone tell me what the engine timing should be set at? The sticker under the hood is peeled where it says the degree..
Thanks for any and all help that you may give me, it is greatly appreciated.
If you happen to need anymore infromation, let me know. Thanks.
Wrong section ;\ And I don't know the answers, sorry.
the plug gap should be good. i know most ac delco plugs are usually pretty close out of the box. as far as timing, you should be able to find it just about anywhere on the net. i dont know it off the top of my head but if i had to take a stab at it i would say 7 to 8 degrees advance.
Thanks a lot Glagon. The spark plugs were all different gaps because whoever did it last must not of known what they were doing (as 3 were able to be taken out by hand). I'll let my dad know what you just told me.
