It is a 92LX 5.0 with DSS pistons,I-beam Rods, GT-40 heads, E Cam, good
It has a vortech V-1 A trim(I think). It makes 6 lb at abouy 4000rpm, but steadily drops off from there and is at about 3-4 byt he time it gets to 5500rpm. It has a 2.75" upper pulley, and a 7" lower pulley. Can anyone tell me why this might be, and also whether or not it is worth trying to get some more boost with a pulley change
Does the car feel like it doesn't want to rev past about 5500rpm(or when you're boost starts dropping)? A vortech will almost proportionally make more boost as rpm increases. If the engine feels like it doesn't want to rev past 5500rpm, you could have bad valvesprings...or possibly just the wrong springs for you're application.
