I have an 88 Ford Taurus that we suspect may have a faulty EGR valve. Are there any backyard mechanic testing that can be done to find out for sure, or do I have to take it in to the shop to have it hooked up to the tester?
We just replaced the EGR Pressure Transducer ($144...ouch!) but are still having probs, which leads us to suspect the EGR valve.:cussing:
Thanks in advance!
just replace the egr valve and gaskets. it's cheap. as for the 144.00 for the other mumbo jumbo, it probably needed it anyway
