hey i have a 69 charger and it has a 440 hemi and i need to put a tubo charger on it can some one pls help me by pointing me in the right direction.
Based solely on this post my advise is that you seek a shop to do the work for you. And this post brings up many, many questions, but I'm gonna go for the less obvious and ask why do you "need" to install a turbo?
I'm sorry but you lost me. The 'Hemi' is really a 426, the 440 is the 'Magnum' (i think thats the name for the 440 anyways). I LOVE that car, but a turbo on a 440 (or if its 'Hemi' then 426)? Thats just crazy, cant say its not enough power with just stock engine. If your serious about this thread/topic then i'd say supercharger instead of turbo, seems to go with the big old engines better :2cents:
The way i read this post makes me think that you were told the engine size but dont really know or have been told about it awile back and dont remember or you might be right. Eather way if your knowledge of automotive is slim the best thing is to let somone who knows what they are doing to do it.
well it not really up 2 me about the turbocharger i am just the driver not the owner and the owner don't really listen to me but with that supercarger would it go on to a 351 clevland?
So now you want to put a supercharger on a Ford instead of turbo on a Dodge?
Maybe he has 2 different engines
He doesn't even have the first one. :screwy:
well actually i do have both motors the dodge is my friends and i have a 71 xy gt
Then you don't have the first one, your friend does. And it isn't a 440
Hemi, so he doens't even have that.
As for superchargers on the 351, there are at least 6 different brands that make them for that, from Weiand to Paxton. Roots type to centrifugal.
well thanks and the hemi part was a typo on my behalf sorry guys
