For full features; Go to 62 Tbird brake lights
The brake lights on my 62 Tbird don't come on unless you push the brake
padel all the way in. They really should come on as soon as the pedal is
depressed. Since I have to get the car through inspection any help would be
appreciated! Could it be the the stop light swtich? Another note when they
do light up the amount of light is weak.
Thanks,
Bob

Sounds like you need to adjust the switch. Most cars use a switch near the
brake pedal. It is threaded and just needs to be positioned closer to the
pedal. If the lights or dim, they may be wired to the wrong side of the
bulb....turn on the park lights and see if they are brighter, if so swap
the wires..Hope this helps, it should at least get you going in the right
direction.

Unfortunately this one work off pressure "stop light switch" located at
the master cylinder. Since the running lights are brighter I will switch
the wires around after I replace the pressure switch. Thanks for your help

Sounds like you have it under control now. Let us know if that doesn't
work..
