Just curious as to what people consider my 1972 Gran Torino.
351 Cleveland 4V (Code Q Cobra Jet) Ram Air, etc.
I consider it a Musclecar.Actually,It looks bad ass,and I'm a Chevy guy.
Ohhh, very nice! My second favorite Torino (right behind my own '71 Torino
GT that was my first musclecar). Love the grillework on those...
It's a bit after the actual musclecar era, being a '72, but can still be a musclecar when done like yours is. Basically, any intermediate domestic coupe/2 door sedan can be a musclecar, even through the '70s. All it takes is teh right stance, teh right engine, and it fits the style.
Kind of like my Pontiac Grand LeMans was (affectionaltely known as the ponti-potamus when i had it, before i gave it to my brother):
i wouldnt mind owning that, its a beutiful car nice nice
Something happened in the seventies that made some cars get the bloated or
rounded look. I‘ve always been a fan of the older Fairlanes and Torinos
and when the ’72 & ‘73s came out, that big chrome bumper and ominous
grill scared the hell out of me (hey, I was a kid). When I got older they
grew on me and I’ve even tried to buy a few of the Rancheros from those
years with no success. It’s just one of those cars that pulled it of. BIG
and BAD, and with those fat tires in the rear and the lowered stance yours
looks just right. I don’t know if it would technically be called a muscle
car (who decides anyway) but I sure would consider it one. It was the last
hurrah for the Torino and the Q coded engine was a potent engine (I’d
like the C coded 460 myself  )
tha shit is stuff you got me interested in fords son
Good God! Can anyone tell me the exact year and model of this Pontiac
Grand LeMans? I'm a newbie and have only owned one older car - a 1966
Buick Skylark. But this Lemans is insane! I'm literally going to print
out this picture and build one up that looks exactly like it. Thanks in
advance for any help!
It's a 76/77 LeMans.
ChrisV.... God I love that pic.
necro posters
but oh my god that 72 torino and 77 grand lemans are absolutley sick
 necro posters.
Thanks! I wou ldLOVE to have that car again... Very hard to find. '76 grand
lemans, originally with the 350, but I had the 455 in it. Interior was
black velour that was just beautiful. I keep finding white, red or green
interior versions had they're nasty.
The Grand LeMans actually had a vinyl quarter roof that I removed, like this one:
There was also a Sport Coupe version that had a larger rear quarter window and rear wheelwell flares:
exactly the car i came home from the hospital in when i was born. wish we still had it now
Here ya go:

GOD that interior is ungodly!
That's now on my watch list.... I'd replace the Falcon for that.
