I have a '96 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS. It is pretty much stock. It has 171,000 miles and it and hasn't had any major problems. When ever i accelerate the car whistles. It whistles the whole time but when it gets up to about 4000 RPM it whistles pretty loud. If anyone knows what causes this or how to fix it I would appreciate it if you would reply.
an opening somewhere on the front of the car that air is getting through
The whistling sound is coming out of the exhaust. Thats where i can here it when i rev up the car.
