i have a 95 honda civic DX hb......im looking for a head unit, 2 front speakers, and 2 rear speakers......can someone please recommend me some that are reasonably priced (they need to fit my car too)
As for size, the sizing should be 6.5" all around...the deck, probably a
din/two din dash, either way, an aftermarket one would fit, just might need
a deck install kit to space it properly.
whats reasonably priced? 400 or 800?(all depends on your definition lol)
for around the 400$ mark:
Pioneer DEH-P3700MP around 130$
Alpine CDE-9843 around 150$
Infinity Reference 6012si about 100$ a pair***
Pioneer DEH-P80MP around 370$
Alpine CDA-9853 around 350$
Infinity Kappa 63.7i about 200$ a pair***
(If you can't tell, I am a fan of the Pioneer/Alpine HU's, and Infinity speakers(yes yes, there are others I have mentioned too, but yeah...))
*** I highly recommend going and listening to speakers down at your local audio store. Take along a CD of your favorite tunes, and listen to them for a good 10 minutes each(for each pair you listen to). Try a wide variety of speakers, and remember, just because it has a name, or a high pricetag, doesn't always mean its good...
And final disclaimer: These are just guidelines and recommendations. Not god's word.
lookin to spend around 250-300 for head unit, and 200-250 per front and 200-250 per rear speakers...
okay then the inifinity speakers are good...
couple questions... do you plan on expanding the system with an amp for the speakers/sub& combo? Also, how do you feel about component speakers(separate midrange driver and tweeter)?
As for a 250-300$ HU:
Alpine CDA-9830 about 250$
Pioneer DEH-P7700MP about 270$ <<
But if you plan on adding amps, go with the alpine(higher voltage pre-outs=less work for the amp)
As for speakers, like I said, the Infinity Kappas will be good, but here is another few options.
Pioneer TS-D161R about 160$
MB Quart DKE-116 about 100$
Focal Access Series about 190$
im not gettin any amps cuz i need my trunk to carry my hockey and guitar stuff lol
so far ive been lookin at these...tell me if it's a bad choice
speakers (it's front and rear right?)
yeah, i named both of those products, the speakers you linked to are the 5 1/4" version. You should be able to use the 6.5" as well, just might have an issue in regards to mounting depth, but you can get speaker brackets for those 5.25" speakers to fit. Deck will do just great
hmmmm, are you SURE that 6.5's will fit...cuz i really have enough other stress to deal with than speakers that dont fit...thanks for all the help btw
wait a sec....i can get 6-1/4 for front speakers but i need 5-1/4 for the
how about these for front
and these for rear
they look good to me...and about 100 bucks a piece
yeah, i double checked, and its 6.5 in the front(or 5.25 with brackets),
5.25 in the back(which is kind of strange...normally the rear speakers are
larger then the front speakers)
check these out as well
