i bought a '03 civic ex coupe used with an auto tranny and 40k miles on it.
i wanted to increase the performance so i can go to school and
work(70miles) faster than i normally would with the stock stuff inside. im
not real good with cars and my friend tells me to put an intake and
supercharge it but first i wanted to get some more help. can anyone help me
with this? i want to add like 50-80hp to it if its possible.
also i wanted to change my interior colors. i got the ivory interior and its just ugly i hate it. i want to change it to a light grey/black interior but is that possible?
and anybody know anywhere to get leather seat covers, that can pass as real leather seats? thx
and pls dont hate on me cause i have a civic, tell the truth i wanted to get a g35 coupe or mdx but little sister is almost at the driving age. cant hand down a mint condition car to her like an mdx or g35.
Wrong reason. I'm sure that car is fast enough to be illegal now, so
you're just telling us you're going to be racing it to school and work
The last thing we need is another maniac trying to race on the streets.
well i dont know nething bout cars to begin with and i never said i wanted
to race. but i wanted to increase the pickup speed if thats even possible
when i meant performance since it feels like i always have to floor it to
get it moving. more hp = better pickup rah?
also bout the interior question. is it possible to change the color scheme of the interior? basically everything from the carpet, dash and ceiling
Of course you can change the interior, provided you're willing to spend the
money on it.
I have no problem with you wanting to add power to your car, but you said you wanted to drive 70 miles faster than you normally would. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume that most of that is freeway (or at least main road) driving. That would mean that once you're up to speed, you shouldn't need any extra power. So the power increase wouldn't really help you get there quicker (maybe 30 seconds for the speeding up you have to do when you do hit traffic, turns, lights etc..)
Sorry, I've had my rant. Now, onto the real problem.
Maybe add intake and an exhaust system. I don't think you'd get decent performance out of a turbo or supercharger without upgrading the exhaust.
hey thnx. the "70miles faster" thing is not what i meant now that i read
that old post (1am post=tired), it was mostly the pickup speed. but yea, i
want to beat the early morning traffic to get to my classes u know. it
sukcs being in traffic for more than an hour.
can i ask which company intake and exhaust would be good and durable? i notice theres alot googling it.
Your car stock can already go faster than any speed limit.
don't know a whole heap about it, but a lot of people seem to like greddy or borla. do a search on these forums for exhaust or something ... this is a question that comes up regularly.
check around at your local exhaust and muffler shops. They can usually custom bend an exhaust for you for cheaper than you could buy online. All you would need is a muffler of you choice and maybe a high flow cat
Amen...I hate maniacs :ohcrap: :banghead:
depends how much money you wanna spend i personaly think you should turbo chage it and a cold air intake
go with greddy catback exhaust, aem cold air intake, not short ram, and get a 4-1 header. that would get u a little more horsepower. supercharge it later, that would be too much money right now.
Umm, wow, or, hmm, when did you learn all that shit?
well the way i know that is because this is jeromy with the supra, not cera.
Damn this shit is confusing, that did clarify it though
sorry it's so confusing. but if it wasn't for me many people around here wouldn't know shit about cars or trucks.
HAH, smartass
Damn, for once you thought I was smart.
Jeremy or Cera
I am smart...all Jeremy's are very intelligent....its a proven fact
yeah yeah yeah
o wow. thnx for the info. my spending limit is $1000 right now so i should
be able to afford all that. except the super charge. will those work well
with my '03 civic ex auto. =T
also how much HP will it add without the supercharge? i noticed theres also a V2 air intake. which would be better, V2 or a regular aem intake?
Yes it will all work with the auto and you should expect around 40-50 hp
Don't get his hopes high, 99integra.
Try around 10-15.
