I want to get HID or XENON bulbs or whatever they are called
but I have some weird headlights
they are oxidized but not too badly
a set installed will be $60
should I do it
considering that my car is completely modded and I just want that final touch
sure, why not?
its a 98 neon
check some pictures online they were made like that
not oxidized but thats just how they are
Completely modded...lol Alex.
thats what mine look like
i saw sometihng called "Mother's Plastic Cleaner"
will that work
its against UV rays, and this seems to be UV damage from what I have heard
Nice to see a fellow member still using the site
I think you mean just installing a new set of higher output bulbs (super white...sylvania silverstars...etc...). True HID's and Xenon conversions will run you $400+.
yea the little bulbs
not the whole housing with it
i believe true XENON headlights run on gas
I just want that crisp clean light because i cant see 2 feet ahead of me hwen i drive at night with these
I put Sylvania Silverstars in both of my cars and it improved over the standard beam drastically.
i went to my mechanic and he said that the bulbs are 55 watts nad the
socket is 45
so the wiring melts
Maybe it's not so much the bulbs but rather the OXIDATION:doh:!!!!! Is the Oxidation on the outside or inside the headlight housing. I got water in one of my headlights and when it evaporated, it left a nasty residue on the inside of the glass. I baked it to get the glass seperated from the housing, then cleaned it, then put it back together. It wasn't difficult at all. :2cents:
You do know this thread's old, and it's newyorker, right?
