You saw the title right, Honda plans on coming out with a Civic Si sedan
for the 2007 model year. This was recently confirmed by TOV from an
industry insider. Obviously the two cars will share much of the same
features, just the sedan will be a 4 door as opposed to the coupe. This is
excellent IMO and brings back the days of the good ole Integra GSR Sedan.
Now you can easily carry your small family in a Si!
Here's a TOV photoshopped version of what it might look like...
In other news the Honda Fit will soon be coming over to the U.S. to compete
in the subcompact market against the xA/xB (wagon version for now). It will
come equipped with a 1.5l SOHC VTEC motor, power and MPG have yet to be
both ideas i think are good...
i personally dont want to get a 2-door car as my main car, ever. but ofcourse i want something sporty... i'm sure there's plenty of people who would jump to buy a cheap, sporty, and useful sedan.
the fit, i think is probably a great high school car, cheap, (probably) reliable, easy on the pocket in terms of gas money, AND insurance, not too quick for someone inexperienced, and easy to shove in that extra corner of the driveway.
If you watch Best Motoring Vtec Club, the owner of Spoon said that the Fit
has a really good chassis for racing.
BTW the Fit looks a lot like the Jazz
thats because it is the jazz.
The Fit is our name
The top engine right now in the Fit is the 1.5L SOHC VTEC engine which puts out 110hp (slightly better than the Scion xA/xB), and gets supposedly 32/38mpg. They say USDM figures will be better mpg wise for sure. My guess is about 33/40mpg. BTW - that 1.5L SOHC VTEC is not affiliated with the D series engine, it's a whole other line of Honda engines ranging from 1.3L to 1.5L called the L series. A series we have never got stateside. Supposedly it's lighter and more compact than the D series.
The pictures didn't work for me...and if they don't work for anybody,
I think it's a great idea though, carry more people, and still a pretty sweet car :hi:
