hey guys i was wonderin if the b16 g2 motor would fit on my 1991 acura
integra gs without any expensive adjustments.
Where on God's green earth did you find a B16g2????
The only Honda B16 engines are as follows.
There's no G!!!!
But to answer your question, in terms of dropping it in your bay it will fit. All B-series engines fit. Although I think your going to need a wiring harness to be able to wire your car up for VTEC as that's the only reason I see as to why you want to swap a B16 as opposed to a B18C :2cents:
go with the b18.. but yes it will fit. all d b k will fit in your honda
I'm going to go out on a limb and assume he was meaning the B16 Generation 2. Which I don't think actually means anything with reference to Honda motors.
Ah, I don't know why I didn't put 2 and 2 together. :banghead:
how about a type-r motor?
i dont want to make any major expensive adjustments
i just kinda want it to fit in
tighten all the bolts and whatever they need to do and be done with it
and yeah i mean generation 2
im new to this so gimme a break lol
The B18 is one of the best engines out of all those IMO. :wink2:
actually nvm the b18c is too expensive
im on a tight budget
im not looking for too much horsepower since my car is pretty light anyways
this is just a starter im only 16 so i dont make a lot of money
my budget for this whole setup plus installation is about 3000
hopefully a little less but whatever
but back to my original question
will it fit fairly perfectly?
i have a b18 right now but its not a vtec and it only has 130hp at the
im lookin at the b16a cuzz its got 160 and itll be a good project car for now
JDM B16A G1 Engine 5 Speed Cable Transmission
Wiring harness OBD0
Half Shaft/Intermediate Shaft
Power Steering Pump
it comes with all that for $1100 usdollars
plus shipping and handling
is that all i need?
you can get the gsr motor for like 2500 so invest in that.. its the b18c1
if im not mistaken.. 180 hp and like 130 torque ... here..
www.hmotorsonline.com and www.japanmotorimport.com
any help let me know
Why spend that money for the small hp gain? Invest it in your current engine would be more advantagous wouldn't it? Am I wrong? :2cents:
well im also worried about fitting
i dont wana spend a bunch load of money trying to get something to fit
oh ya and will i need to get a new clutch? if so where can i find one?
thanks again guys i appreciate it
do a b20 with a type r head! good way to make some power !!
ummm stage 3 clutch would be good because it can handle a lot more HP and torque than the stock one (you'd probably burn the stock one out fast with an engine upgrade). You don't need a really powerful engine really cuz you can mod the engine later when you have the money (i.e. Port and Polish, racing valves, intake, exhaust, forged piston, titanium crank, eagle rods, turbo pushin 20PSI with the previous mods only, ect.)
Stage 3 clutchs(assuming you mean a 3 plate clutch) would usually be a no-no on a street car as it'll be like an on-off switch(imagine what that'll be like in rush hour traffic:banghead: ). A decent single plate clutch is all you need on for a street Honda.
However you will need to buy some additional stuff (I assume you refer to B16A2, by the way)
