Well, I sold my Golf the other day to a collegue of mine. He paid £500
which I think was a reasonable price for a 1990 Golf with 89,000miles on
her. I was sorry to see her go but I decided I needed a change, as my wife
is due a reasonably large insurance pay-out within the next couple of
months, so I wanted something to get me by till then. I was gonna use the
whole £500 but decided, if I could, to spend as little as possible.
In the end, after a long day and a fair few miles, I found a man in Southampton, Hampshire, selling a 1990 Nissan Sunny. It's a 1.4litre and has had one owner from new. It's got a Full Service history with all old reciepts etc. It also has 6months Road Tax and a full years MoT on it. It cost me £395, which I think is quite a decent price. It has 113,000miles on it too, which seems quite high but isn't too bad as it looks and drives great. Oh, and the engine is chain driven so no Timing Belt to worry about either lol (I'm always afraid if a car's belt driven that I'll snap it and screw the engine up lol)
Congratulations on your new purchase. Sounds like a good buy!
What's funny is his new Sunny is even more real than your Aston!
so how bout some pictures of it?
That's a different person
BTW Congrats on the car Cliffy, got pics?
Does it look something like this cliffy?
Random google search.

Thats one mean lookin car.
the rims and the paintjob are the nicest 2 things on that car:banghead:
sunnys are awesome, yeah, lets see some pictures
I personally like the way the hood comes down over the grill....i think it gives it a bit more agressive of a look
I will have to find pics of an identical car to show you I'm afraid as I dont have a digital camera yet.....I'll look now lol
Nissan (http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/show_image.pl?bg=FFFFFF&image=http:/ /memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/2063000-2063999/2063265_2_full .jpg) That's the best I could find, mine's a Hatchback though....same colour!
The good news is that overall, a Sunny (basically a Sentra to us in the US) is a decent car. The bad news is that the timing chains are only good for about 100-120k miles and then give up the ghost, taking out not only the valves (as in any interference engine) but also the cast aluminum timing cover. Good job.
Oh dear.....the fact that it's been driven by just one old lady for the past 16 yrs can olny be good, right?
Yeah, you should get more like 125k out of the chain.
LOL....I should only have the car for a couple of months hopefully
Enjoy it while it lasts cliffy lol. :orglaugh:
Just saw that bit. Is the Sunny not quite a bit smaller than a Sentra?
And GW....I just noticed you copy/pasted the yellow writing from my sig! Grrr lol
Sometimes consistent granny driving can play havoc on the bores.
Just so I can feel important. :smoke:
Good thing you are already married Cliffy, cuz that car is no babe
Of course, that's all YOU care about.
Hey cliffy IS a babe magnet, his personallity is..........well at least he looks........he has a big..........nah sorry man I got nothing. :ohcrap:
LOL...I know, I had to give it a nice long run
Johnny Mac, I dont need a car to attract female attention, I do that myself
Running down the street naked would get anyones attention.

Be proud not ashamed.
