I got a fireball muffler put on my car, just the muffler, and u can barely hear it at all, its deep, but its too quiet for me, i didn't replace the stock muffler behind the axle though, and most aftermarket exhaust for the newer celicas come with 2 mufflers, should i replace it with an aftermarket one? and if so what kind.

so your saying you have a fireball muffler right next to your stock muffler?

if thats the case, then put a fireball muffler on the other side(?) as well

something about that sounds kinda weird though

not what i said at all, the stock one is before the axle, not sure if i said that right before, my bad, but the fireball muffler is at the very end of the car, they arent beside each other, the stock one before the axle is a HUGE round long muffler, thats really close to the ground too

thats why i had a question mark after side(?)

anyway, i have no personal experience with this,

but if you replace both, im assuming you will have a louder sound

I found this one, its like the magnaflow muffler thats in the catback for the celica, where the pipes come out are in the same location, anyone have any suggestions?

Are you sure you got a muffler? Sounds to me like you just attached a tip to the end of your stock muffler.

so what you are saying is that you only got an axel-back exhaust right? which is what a lot of aftermarket exhausts are for the newer celica's if you want a full system either get the trd exhaust or just finish the rest of the piping:thumbs:

I think you're confused. Exhaust systems also have resonators and catalytic converters....

Or are you saying that your car now has a stock muffler and performance muffler on the same exhaust?

Try to put your ideas into words better. Use punctuation, and form proper sentences. This will help people understand you.

I'm confused lol, are we talking about the muffler:

Or just the exhaust tip:

does this help at all

lol, i guess this is confusing, but i replaced the tip with a fireball muffler, most of the catbacks for new celicas have 2 mufflers on them, one where the tip usually is on the stock exhaust, and another muffler before the axle, I ordered another muffler now, to put before the axle, and ill get custom piping, so itll basically be a custom catback

This link shows some exhaust that look like what im talking about

im quite sure that the "muffler behind the axle" hes referring to is either the resonator, a flexible, or an extra catalitic converter.

um dude, if thats not a muffler then my car wouldn't have a muffler at all.... and i know what a cat. looks like ca-15812_W0QQitemZ8032532621QQcategoryZ33630QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

the muffler in that catback is exactly like the stock one on the celica, it comes right before the axle, and then the piping goes all the way to the tip, which is where i put an aftermarket muffler, on the turbo magazine site or w/e it had a lot of them like that but with a muffler where the tip is also

I recently just bought a 2000 Celica GT-S.. if you want to keep the factory look.. get a decent sound.. and just be loud.. do what the dealership did.. and run a straight pipe.. doesn't sound too bad on the Celica imo.

thats probly not a bad idea, the celica gt seems to be too quiet no matter what exhaust is on it, too quiet for me
