My Dream Car - 3rd Generation Honda Accord

Home  \  Asian Imports  \  My Dream Car - 3rd Generation Honda Accord

When I grow up I want to have a 1985-1989 Honda Accord. They look very pretty, and I like their engines. I want a four door automatic Accord, with the digital clock, and the cassete player, Life would be so good with my accord.... I can stop and listen to my cassete player. And hear the music, and I can do other things as well....

I love the Honda Accord.

Why did Honda have to change that model? I don't mean just the car, the engine, and the other stuff as well....

Also most accords will be in bad condition, so I will spent thousands of money to fix it all up.

And the old stock accord spoiler, ooohhh.... That looks soooo.... CUTE!!!
I want that spoiler for my future accord....

But why did Honda have to change that car? What was so bad about the way it was before?

Anyway, If I fix it 100% all up, without any exceptions, then would it be good and as expensive as the new accord?

They should be the same price if they are both in the same good condition....

I just don't get it.... Please tell me why....

Is it acuatly possible to fix the car if I spend atleast $20,000 on it?

Why do people hate my dream car, even my mom.... Even when it's in good condition?

Why is the new accord more expensive than my dream accord even when they are in the same condition?

Anyway, do you think I should buy the car when I grow up, or should I stick to my second option?

The 1980s' Honda Prelude?

Maybe growing up isnt such a bad thing...

So, my question is.... Is it a good car?

posted by  DigitalChaos486

First off, a late 80's accord is gonna have late 80's technology. Lower hp, lower torque, lower quality suspension components, lower quality sound system, lower just about everything compared to a newer car.

Second, grow up before you decide.

HELLO? Grow Up? In 2 more years I'm going to have a car, so I will have to start thinking about it.................

posted by  DigitalChaos486

No you don't. 14 year olds don't have to start thinking about it now.

P.S.- If you want my opinion, that car sucks monkey balls.

I am the manager of bill and exchange at the foreign remittance department COOPEC BANK CI. I am writing, following your address which I got through international network information when I was searching for a sure email contact because of the matter of urgency of this transaction. And I hope of
your relaibility to champion this business opportunity with me.

In my department we discovered an abandoned sum of U.S$23,700,000.00 (Twenty-three Million seven hundred US dollars) in an account that belongs to one of our foreign customer who died along with his entire family in November 1999 in a plane crash.Since we got information about his death, we have been expecting his next of kin to come over and claim his money because we cannot release it unless somebody applies for it as next of kin or relation to the deceased as indicated in our banking guidlines and laws but unfortunately we learnt that all his supposed next of kin or relation died alongside with him at the plane crash leaving nobody behind for the claim.

It is therefore upon this discovery that I now decided to make this business proposal to you and release the money to you as the next of kin or relation to the deceased for safety and subsequent disbursement since nobody is coming for it and I don't want this money to go into the bank treasury as unclaimed bill. The banking law and guidline here stipulates that if such money remained unclaimed after five years, the money will be transfered into the bank treasury as unclaimed fund. The request of a foreigner as the NEXT OF KIN in this business is occassioned by the fact that the customer was a foreigner and a citizen of our country cannot stand as NEXT OF KIN to a foreigner.

We agree that 20% of this money will be for you as a foreign partner, in respect to the provision of a foreign account, 10% will be set aside for expenses incured during the business and 70% would be for me and my coulague. There after I will visit your country for disbursement according to the percentages
indicated. Therefore, to enable the immediate transfer of this fund to you as arranged, you must apply first to the bank as relation or next of kin of the deceased indicating your bank name, your bank account number, your private telephone and fax number for easy and effective communication and location wherein the money will be remitted.

Upon receipt of your reply, I will send to you by fax or e-mail the text of the application. I will not fail to bring to your notice that this transaction is hitch-free and that you should not entertain any atom of fear as all required arrangements have been made for the transfer. You should contact me immediately as soon as you receive this letter for more explanations.

Yours faithfully
Dr Mary Kabbah.

Well, i like the accords too, only i like 89-92, well anyway, i like the accord cuz its a simple design and i liked it alot when i was younger. It has 4 stars on everything, saftey and so on. So you'll be fine. If its a honda it should take about 10 Grand to fix, jugding on a shitty condition not smashed up and no wheels on the car n shit.

posted by  Hummer H1

dude if ur gonna use ur car to cruise around then both the accord and the prelude would be ok...

cides as long as it has 4 wheels its a car besides i dont h8 that accord, ppl just cant appreciate that car, if it was me with that car id put a H22A engine and go around. with that engine ud love that car on highways especially wen the VTEC kicks in 4th and 5th gear...

u like that accord go 4 it

Why the **** is he using your account. We dont like stupid kids here who like Honda Accords. Who the **** would get a Honda when they can get a STi or EVo for the same price? You kick your sons ass.

posted by  SNiPeRViRuS

I like earlier Accords as well, and you may be able to find one in decent shape. I know my neighbor across the street has one, and it looks like new (he doesn't appear to use it much, even though it sits outside all the time, so the paint's a bit worn, other than that, mint). But i'd suggest getting an Early 90's one instead (Maybe a 93 Accord or so).
