Help Me Out Nissan Maxima Suped Up
I am about to buy a 1997 nissan maxima from one of my dads friends for 2500 and I want to put a bunch of time and money into suping it up. It doesn't got to be fast... Just powerful and look nice.

as far as performance i would put a cold air intake, mess with the exaust, different heads. If your going for "looks" thats up to you what you like and dislike but i have a 69 mustage GT and I built that for looks, i got underglow, all new interior, neon lights inside, neon pedals, i have 2 15' subwoofers, then as far as the performance i have a racing chip, cold air intake, performance headers, custom dual exaust, body kit. so its a bad little car. you might even wanna but air bags on it idk, just whatever you like. You can even put your ideas on here and ask other ppl what they think about them. but that maxima is gunna be nice.

One more question; how did you set up the racing chip? My uncle has a 1969 Mustang that he's turning into a drag car, and he wants to put in a racing chip, but doesn't know how. For now, he's got a body kit and CAI, and next up is Nos.

Man how can you have a sweet bodykit on the 69 mustage but no spoiler. Did you do a JDM tite skyline motor swap or did you go with the Type R motor

my friend has a maxima and his mods are the following

godspeed (i believe) y-pipe
full exhaust
cold air intake
its got decent pull

hope this helps, and dont be a ricer...or buy a 600 dollar body kit from ebay and when it breaks on the second day because its fiberglass il laugh and say i told you so

That's really wierd. Why would a guy named Adam Reece have a picture of Mike Jones' Mustang on that website? Looks like somone has some 'splainin' to do Lucy. GM makes good trucks and vans i know this im talking about cars..there are more high mile hondas out there than GMs guaranteed car wise...basically industrial shit they have covered, not cars that normal people use. and the SDL is a diesel, and diesel motors last forever

Well show us some proof. I dont see alot of high mileage hondas come into the shop, we continuosly get SBCs in over 300k but the hondas rarely get maintained properly as they age and something like a timing belt will go and if its an interference engine, bam the whole damn thing is destroyed.

That doesnt mean its a bad motor it means its a dumbass owner, like my friend who hasnt changed his oil filter in a year, had his tire almost flat for 3 months, and doesnt take care of the car at all asked me "why is my altima only getting 14mpg"...sorry I dont know what an SBC is

Noobs really have no say to talk about anyone on the boards because well their noobs and they don't really know whats going. Lets face it though. Torque is awesome and V-tec is not. I like to go up hills without feeling that my car is gonna fall apart because it's trying to be like the little engine that could. Besides if your looking for performance in a car anyways who cares about how many miles you can get out of the car. Your modifying it anyways so it's decreasing the life of the motor regardless. Yeah Hondas can get 200k+ on the motor but when your modding them I'm most sure they won't be hitting that mark anytime soon.
