Wondering what modifications to add
I have a 1992 Mazda Protege LX 1.8.
I'm wondering what kind of modifications I should add.
I plan of installing all of the parts by myself for fun.

engine is hopeless...forced induction is the only way to do, or get an MSP motor swap or spray

edit: spelling ****in owns me..i meant MSP not MSX

If you've got big plans I say get a better base vehicle. If you just want to spice it up, exhaust is the way to go. Good tires wouldn't hurt either. You could do a SMALL shot of nitrous, but that would be risky if this is your daily driver. Also, nitrous is a pretty good deal if you're running a 150+ shot, but to run a 25 shot you need pretty much the same equipment, making it not that good of a value.

I would do a engine swap wit a '90 protege GT 2.0L DOHC. u can find one that is turbocharged. the engine may be smaller than yours but it packs a punch. plus it has a large selection of mods for it.the engine can maintain a wide amount hp aprox. 500hp. good luck
