ımpreza wrx - sti - s2000

First of all hi to all

This is my first post in the forum and i need your help to decide which car to buy

In Turkey impreza wrx > 2.0 liter 225 hp
impreza wrx sti > 2.0 liter 265 hp
honda s2000 > 2.0 liter 240 hp

I have read lot about these cars, their spesifications, test drives etc. In fact i am a subaru fan but s2000 is a real good choice on the other side (esp. after seeing the 0-280 km/h video  )

So which one would you prefer among these cars ? and why ?

Let's see...assuming I can drive manual (you do know that the STi and S2K only come in manual, right? At least in the US).

If I want to be cool, I'd pick the STi. If I wanted to pick up the ladies, I'd go with the S2000. If I could afford it, I would definitely go WRX STi over the WRX.

It all really depends. If I'm going to be doing a lot of luggage carrying, then the STi over the S2000. The S2000 is very stylish though. My favorite roadster!

EDIT: BTW, I thought the STi does 300 horses. They do in America.

You are right. In USA sti makes 300 hp but in Turkey just like UK there's only a version which makes 265 hp

Infact the point which confuses my mind is buying a wrx because it is 17000 $ cheaper than the sti

On the other hand is there really so much difference between wrx and sti that you say you'd chose the sti one

Won't I feel the same turbo boost and etc. while driving a wrx ?

Haha...okay that changes a few things then!

Sorry I live in the US (don't throw anything at me please  ) and the WRX and WRX STi are different here.

In US dollars, the difference is only about $8000 and not $17000 (I don't know if I should consider that USD or in...Turkey money). Also, in the US, the difference in HP is 73 HP and not 40.

NOW I can see where the real decision making process spices up.

Hmmm.... Now I think if you're going to be economical, then get the WRX over the WRX STi. Save a lot of money for a bit of horses in exchange.

I'm not going to suggest anything anymore since I don't know things so well in Turkey, but I think you're two biggest debates here are:

"AWD sedan vs. RWD roadster coupe"

And if the WRX wins that one, then you've got to decide between:

"225hp vs. 265hp +$17000"

Thank you so much :wink2: :wink2: :wink2:

I think I will buy a 2004 wrx instead of sti

It depends on what YOU want. Do you want a practical four door sedan with a little power too boot? Or do you want a Roadster (2 seater) with great handling to have fun with? Either are both great cars (STi and S2000)...just depends on what you want.

S2000 IMO. or if the calculations are correct, base WRX (non STI). If the s2000 in turkey costs as much as the STI in turkey like it does here in the states, then go with the normal WRX and work the extra money towards that if you decide you want more power. IF you want more power in the WRX u can get it.
