Ok guys i know this is a dumb question but you you need to find out some time i your life and im only 16 and i have a 240sx that has the k24 is that a s13 or a ps13 im srry for the question but i need to know lol lol :banghead:
neither, it's a BS15, and you need to change your headlight fluid very
often with those parts. Like, every single time you start the car up. So,
carry around a couple gallon jugs of that stuff (Make sure it's a bright
green) and make sure that the fluid is always high. Good luck and God
(What the hell are you talking about? s13 or ps13? what part are you talking about)
S13 is just a model mark.
RPS13/PS13? thats a SR20DET isnt that in the SX 180 :ohcrap:
the 240SX uses the KA24DE-(T)
If you have a 1990 240sx, you don't have ka24de unless you have performed
an engine swap, or put a ka24de head on it.
1990 should have the SOHC ka24e.
Yes thats right. I think the the S13 is more suited to the SR20 then the KA24, in Australia you don't see many S13 with the KA24.
Im really confused about this. The 240sx and the silvia.. are they the same car. They look so alike. And why does some 240 have SR engines and some KA?
The Yanks get the KA24 engine in the 240sx but other countries like australia we get it with the SR20, they are the same car but just dirrerent engines.
ahh kids these days...start driving early....makes me jealous
ps. sometimes i get scared when driving close to new drivers...
yeah as they said, the american cars came with the ka24 unfortunately, and the engine didn't come in a 16 valve until about 1995, the sr20det engine over... well everywhere else comes turboed and intercooled producing more power, even though it's a smaller engine as a 2 liter
The DOHC 16 valve KA24DE came out in 91...not 95
thanks, i wasn't sure when it became a 16 valve i just new it wasn't in the '89
im from aus and believe it or not there are about 11 different versions of the silvia or 240 sx what ever you call them
in aus there are s13 silvias (two door coupe like mine)
rps13 180sx (id say like the same as your 240 flip lights lift back ect...
then there are two versions of both
1 ca18de ,and the ca18det (non turbo and turbo 1.8lt
2 sr20de ,and the sr20det (non turbo and turbo 2.0lt
then there are three versions of the two door coupe like mine
k = king = top of the range all options turbo
q = queen = turbo or non turbo most options
j = jack = pov pack shitty i have never seen one of these
any more questions glad to help
