my grandmother is rich and shes going to give me like around 20g's i am thinking of a wrx sti or the new gto with 400 lbs of ft torque and 400 horses i need help of picking the fastest car for the money i have because my cousin just bought the srt 4 and winin 80% of his races in drag in d streets
Unless you bought your own car, I wouldn't drag it, simply because you're trashinig your grandmother's money. I don't think she wants you racing, and you should honor her wishes. Buy a camaro z28. probably a 95-98 year. Either that or a mustang GT 95-99.
Get whatever you want and do any dumbass thing you please.
Well if I had to choose between a gto or a wrx i'd go the wrx  , the gto might have more power but it's a heavy basted.
toyota corolla gts :hi: now that's a good investment
Hmm, 20,000 dollars US huh? I would go with the current Acura RSX Type S. 210hp with a wicked suspension, it carves the road like a scapel. Not fast enough to win all the drag races, but that thing can corner. If you have any money left, you can try to fit a turbo on it. Even though it won't do much, since its a FWD you'll just create more wheelspin. But it is a very comfortable car, really nice interior, extremely smooth and sporty styling, handles like a dream and good gas mileage. So i would suggest that to you, but i strongly advise against street racing, if you want to race go to the tracks where real men do it, not on the streets where the little boys who arent old enough to drive real cars try to prove their manhood by grasping onto the only strand of masculinity they have left in them.
no dont. get one of these:

dont think you can handle it
probably the best one, then you can use the rest of the money and go to college and get a brain.
20k wont get you a new STi or a new GTO. So try... an old Eclipse for like 5k and then spend 15k on mods. I would say a STi but you cant find a good one thats like 2 years old for 20k.
For 20k...yea...forget about the STi or GTO...both are MORE than 20k
You can pick a:
Subraru WRX (great platform to start w/...amazing aftermarket)
Mazdaspeed Protegé (excellent handling car and looks good)
Mazda Miata (lots of potential, RWD, light, huge aftermarket)
Mazda RX7 3rd Gen, 2nd Gen (both light and sexy, I'd get the turbo ones, rotary=iffy reliability)
Nissan 300ZX TT (fast, sexy, and respond well to mods)
Mitsu Eclipse GSX/Eagle Talon (cheap, fast, reliable...pick any 2...jk they are fast and quick and easy to make fast...but not good on being incredibly reliable)
Nissan 240SX (great platform...lots of motors swaps and turbo kits available...RWD...cheap relatively)
Toyota MR2 Turbo (quick, sexy, great motor)
Toyota Supra TT (strong motor and tranny, sexy, quick)
I only gave you some of your choices since you probably want AWD, RWD and Asian cars...
You can find a pretty nice Evo for 20grand
An Evo for 20k will be hard...the RS is 26...so it would have to be a high
mileage car for 20k
I would be wary of a 20k Evo...since they probably have good value...but if it's that cheap it must have been flogged to sh*t or ran all over the country
Be wary of pre-modified cars...they say that they only put those mods on for fun...but what it means was I was dropping the clutch at 7k RPM's all the time and bouncing of the rev limiter all day
look at the links i gave you
None of the cars are listed anymore...I get dead links
Try finding a 1996 Nissan 300zx (one of the last 300 made), those things are nice.
STiman has a good idea if you want a fast, and simple car... but if yo uare
throwing that much in mods on a car you better make sure you are tuning it
as ya go, otherwise those mods are gonna start doing harm to your speed,
rather than good. I like to term it 'overmodification'
I'd recommend a trans-am, 98 or newer just because of how sweet they are, there are plenty of things to do to them, and when that things roars, everyone is gonna stare.
I would say get a 91-94 Eagle Talon tsi (Mistubishi Eclipse) awd for like 4 or 5 k. Spend some money on the engine expecially try to get a custom transmition because mistubishi didn't make a very strong transmition for these cars. Get a nice body kit and a nice sound system. And that should last you a while. Or get a Integra Type R and do what ever mods you can.
depends if you want a race car then ud have to get a daily driver or just
have fast daily driver. either way, get a Talon TSi AWD turbo. give it
some performance mods and have at. geez ur lucky to get 20 grand. talons
are shweet. im way jealous of teh old evo's, there was a dude that bought
one and gave it performance up the butt and it was smokin the new evo's
IMHO...that's the worst year...the 96 TT came detuned from the factory...and made only 280HP...sucks
bmw e46 a 3.18 or 20
if i hade 20 grand i would buy like and old 3kgt or rx7 and build the motor and then you can hand that srt4 their ass in a strait line
