hey everyone i was just wondering what your favorite ferrari is. for me it's a toss up between the enzo, f50, and f40.

So it looks like you go for the race-bred style supercars.

My favourite is the 550 Maranello. I'm a bit of a traditionalist in that I prefer the stick shift (with the distinctive Ferrari aluminium grid plate) to the paddles.

I do appreciate the design brilliance of the Enzo, I just don't think it looks as nice. (not that I'd say no to owning one  )
I saw the only one in Australia at a recent motor show. The guy who owns it owns a big transportation company. He brought his collection of:
F288 GTO (1984)
F40 ('87)
F50 ('95)
Enzo ('03).

The colours of his company are red and yellow, so he had the roof of the Enzo painted yellow .... I wasn't especially impressed with this. I guess it's an ego thing. "not only can I get an Enzo, I can get a personally modified one".

.... sweet collection though.

I thought the entire production que came off in 2001/2002?

Anyway, for me....well, look at my sig.

Dunno, I just went and looked at a website to get those details (I couldn't remember the F288, only the other 3) and that's what they had.... I'll try and look deeper.

Another article on the same page says that Mr Fox's Enzo was '02

Here's the link to the page for his collection .. it shows the yellow roofed enzo.

As much as I like and appreciate the newer ferraris, my favorite ferrari of all time (and one of my top 5 favorite cars of all time) is this one:

1964 250 GT Lusso. Were I to win the Lottery, one would be in my garage.

Followed up by the F40.

All Ferraris are great cars, but something about the 275 GTB Short Nose is just entoxicating. I fear I'll never own one of these are there were only 234 of them produced, and even less of the faster models. :ohcrap:

Although I would'nt mind having a F360 Challenge Stradale. Something about an door interior made entirely of carbon fiber and brushed aluminum  .

WHAT ABOUT THE 1962 FERRARI 250GT CALIFORNIA!!!!

I would take that one over ANY Ferrari out there. As long as I could find one and afford it lol

posted by  FordFromHell351

Which 250GT California? There are alot of models. There is the C Series, D Series, D Series Competizione, the Tipo 168 D/F Series, the Tipo 128, Tipo 539/168, and the 61/61 Competizione.

All of the 250's were loosley based off each other. There were Street Chassis, such as the 250 Europa, 250 Boano, 250 PF, 250 GTE, 330 GT American, and Chris V's favorite... the 250 Berlineta Lusso. These Ferraris were often street performance versions and grand touring of the higher perfromance bred 250. Cars such as the 250 Berlinetta Lusso were Ferraris attempt to bridge the gap between competition 250's and luxery 2+2 coupes in the Ferrari lineup.

The Competion Racers, such as the 250 Tour de France, 250 California, 250 SWB, 250 GTO, 330 LM Berlinetta and 250 LM were the more competition Ferraris. Wich is clearly evident in the latter list of these Ferraris such as the 250 GTO, 330LM, and the more infamous 250 LM pictured below.

i would have to say that coolest ferraris were definitely the old ones, so im gonna have to go with chrisv on the 1964 250gt lusso

i like all ferraris so much, but my favorite is the f50. the enzo is second because it doesn't have a regular stick, just paddles. i prefer a true manual over paddles. and as far as classics i love the 288gto. it's top speed is 190mph that's faster than a 360 and it's from the 80's. it's crazy, beautiful, car i love it!

Definately the testerosa and the enzo.

The 575M Maranello has paddles too. In fact I think there are other new Ferraris with them.

The GTO.
My favorite Ferrari is the Grand Grand Father of the Enzo. The GTO 288 from 1984 looks simply perfect, it's not that typical street legal racecar as today's supercars. There's not only the brawny look -- were I once heard that car barkin' like an angry Rottweiler, you'll never forget it. :wink2:

yeah, i love that car. definitly one of my favorites. in my february issue of EVO magazine they did a test on the enzo, f50, f40, and 288gto. it turned out like this:1st place f50, 2nd place 288gto. 3rd place enzo, and 4th place f40.

I dont know a whole lot about Ferarri but i like the F50 the best and next would have to be the Enzo, although i've never seen either in person they seem like good cars. I wouldnt want to own an Enzo though, it'd cost too much in even the simplist maintaince (ie. oil change, brakes, etc.).

posted by  car_crazy89

Wow! The old warhorse still got it! They have only built 279 GTO's (without the Evoluzione), that means the price tends very high right now. :wink2:
