Newbie with a question. I drive an E46 M3. I am looking for a new set of wheel's. I am looking to get some 19 inch wheel's. I found a couple I like just wanted to get some idea's. These are the wheel's I am looking at.

The chrome ones would look really good on the M3 :2cents:

I like the Maya ones. They have that European racing scene look to them. I think the other ones dont really look right on the M3.

I think I am going to go with the Maya STM. I will post some pictures when I get them. Thanks for the help.

NIce choice man!

I am thinking about getting similar rims for my E36 M3.

Naw Zalight, keep the stock ones, they look pretty good on the M3. Why waste money on somthing like that when you could buy performance parts with that money :2cents:

yeah i agree. keep the stock ones and get an ecu or something.

Maybe because he likes the performance of it already, and likes the look of the custom wheels better? Or maybe he can do BOTH?

True but there is always room for improvement in the performance catagory

I don't know...I just really want to fill out my wheel wells a little bit more with some nice black rims...

Do it. It's your car, and you're the only one who has to like what you do. Anyone complains, make them come over and pay you to make it like THEY want it.

Thats also true

Keep it stock. They look good. Noone else is impressed by your MAD FLY RIMZ YO, and big wheels make a ride uncomfortable.

posted by  Oomba

I don't want "mad fly rimz".....I want some nice, lightwieght, tasteful, 17 or 18 inch wheels.

Racing Hart always has some nice sporty, TASTEFUL rims. I put some 17" RH102s on it.

Racing Hart and Cragars are my favorite brands

I really like BBS, but that doesn't really work with my car. I was thinking maybe Axis.

? BBS wheels were really designed for your car...

I love BBS wheels on most performance cars, but especially on the M3s of any generation.

posted by  ChrisV

Wow, they actually do look pretty good! I just thought I would go with a wider spoke, but those RK II's are really calling me.

Run to them Zalight, run to them and never look back :orglaugh:

Yeah I was gonna say, bbs are kinda synonamis (my famous spelling yet again) with bmw.

Although who makes the current crop of their performance wheels?? Can't say I'm a fan of the new 19" you get on the new 7 series. But the ones on the M3 CSL....mmmmm

Also like the old fasioned alpina wheels too. very basic but seem to work well on 5 series.

(just to wind up chris- this is my opinion and it must be true cos my words are gospel) :wink2:

If I had an M3 I don't think I'd be thinking about more performance OR big wheels, I'd just be saving money for tires and maintenence while I drive it as hard as I want.

BBS RC's are gorgeous.

posted by  NISSANSPDR

But, you don't have an M3. He does, and he wants it to be different than the thousands of stock ones out there, and look even better in his eyes than it already does.

Nothing wrong with wanting to keep it stock, but also nothing wrong with wanting to modify a mass produced mechanical product to be more individual.

Yeah, don't gank his thread, he asked which pair you guys prefer..

Went with these. Let me know what you think.
