Is this a total rippoff or are M5's that rare?
1988 M5 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7985769607&c ategory=6783&rd=1)
Especially since it says 'Parts Car'.
Considering that one in fair shape would go for no less than $10k...and one
in great shape floats around $16k...no. It's a fair price. The engine
alone is worth that...not to mention all the M5 parts.
Well Bav is the right guy to go to about BMW.
I do know some about the '88 M5. It's my favorite car!
I've had my eye on several for purchase...but still a bit too expensive.
Well now I just need $6,500!!
Well if anyone else want to see I can put an attachment that has the auctuion in it but I don't know how to do that....
yeah, considering this one has a buy it now price of 16k...
The '88s are worth quite a bit in good shape. And it looks like on that M5 the M specific parts are in decent shape, you could use parts from a regular 5 series to fix it.
like this one:
Up to 26 bucks so far...
Ive only seen a few of those M5s before. I would think theyre pretty rare, and highly coveted for that engine. Its fair.
Not too rare...rare only to find someone wanting to sell a really nice and
well kept one. That's the one I'm looking for. It will set me back at
least $15k...I just can't justify that expense yet...
