Hi i'm here to see how many of y'all are interested in learnin more about the car in the pic below./

I just wanted to say that personally i love this car it is very sporty and it's super quick and at the same time is realatively cheap compared to other cars of it's preformance capabilities such as a ferrari or porsche.

Exactly! I'm gunna get the r400. 450bhp is perfect.

Two words about the Noble...'Ford Mondeo'

posted by  Cliffy

How many times are we going to post the same picture of the same car that the same 12 year old knows nothing about but wants to impress everyone with his great knowledge about? That was a mouthful. At any rate, does this thread have any point, or is it just to piss away bandwidth?

posted by  vwhobo

Sorry, I just forgot to mention the contents of my last post in my original post in this thread lol...I just had to mention that the Noble is mearly a 'Ford parts bin car' just like modern Jags are...Ok, maybe I was a bit harsh in mentioning Jag here as they only use Ford switch gear, chassis and break componants where as the Noble even nicked the poor old mondy's tail lights...and of a first generation Mondeo too! :banghead:

posted by  Cliffy

Did you check with Hiens to make sure that info is correct? After all he seems to be the self appointed expert on them. :tard:

posted by  vwhobo

No...thanx for the heads up though, I'll check with our resident expert now :banghead: ...cant find him...must be at school. :banghead: *awaits education*

no i'm just not impressed wit this forum as much as others. seems like all y'all do is insalt others.

We have perfect amounts of respect for those who lean to walk before they run. Your first post was to put it lightly a little bold and seemed a little arrogant to "barge" in here an ask who wanted to know about the Noble M12 as thought you were the resedent expert. Its not too late to recover and gain forgiveness...

hmmm.........

posted by  Hiens

What's the 'hmmm' for? R34 has a very valid point in his post and I think the least you could do would be to post an intelligent response..after all, I thought you were bright?

posted by  Cliffy

He must be bright, to have a Doctorship he must have written a thesis...

hmmm.... means i'm thinkin

I would also say that the M12 is a amazing car. It makes me love it even more when you find out that its faster, better handling etc than an M3, considering BMW are a multi billion :2cents: company.

posted by  Car Nirvana

Yes, but they are two very different cars, if you want luxurious, fast and accomodating transport, you get an M3. If you want a fast car which is 50% Ford Mondeo...go for the Noble! :2cents:

Note: remember...Brits agree with Brits..in this case you agree with me lol...jk

posted by  Cliffy

Sorry i should have said but i was on about the M3 CSL
About the Mondeo parts its not 50% and the parts it uses are very good parts.

posted by  Car Nirvana

It's near enough 50% and the parts are crap, they even resorted to using the first generation Mondeo's tail lights!...also, the M3 CSL is still a luxurious car compared to the Noble :wink2:

posted by  Cliffy

Who cares what the tail lights are, quite frankley, they dont change the perfomace of the car, i think you will find that most real sports cars use comman parts. For example, 80% of car manufacutres in europe all use one of 6 wiper motors make in a factory in poland. Do we really care? I dont think so. If im wizzing around a track in a lotus or noble is it a concern that 1/2 the noble is a focus mondeo cross breed and the exige is a mixture of a toyota celica and a MG rover??

Look at the F body series most of there parts are taken of things like the grand am and allsorted trucks. How many things has GM straped that 5.7 V8 into??? interesting question for another thread if we care.

posted by  cinqyg

I think you're missing the point, you're entirely right that nobody cares if manufacturers use identical wiper motors as It's not a visual aspect of the car, tail lights on the other hand are.

posted by  Cliffy

well on diffrent cars the same compnets sets them off diffrently, look at the mini and landy's use the same tail lights very diffrent look.

posted by  cinqyg

What Landy uses Mini tail lights?

posted by  Cliffy

series II

posted by  cinqyg

How do you work that one out?

posted by  Cliffy

look at the back of a series II landy, look at the back of a 70's mini, take the lucas fittings off and you can swap them over, and even the wholes will line up perfectly.

posted by  cinqyg

What is your ground for saying that the parts the Noble uses are crap

posted by  Car Nirvana

Well, it would have been nice if you'd have written mt name in that quote so I knew it was me who said it in the first place

As for my reasoning, call it experience, something I believe you lack in?.....I know that Ford parts, especially older parts, are crap, end of story

posted by  Cliffy

There not all bad, there crush column is good compared tot he gm version of the same period. Steering racks are good, easy to fix. Diffs are ok, bake systems are ummmmm not the best should we say, when you buy the car make sure you put your order in for a master cylinder straight away.

One thing i will say is that if you need a ford part you can allways find it with realitve ease.

posted by  cinqyg

Very true....although I think in general, Ford parts leave an awfull lot to be desired!

posted by  Cliffy

Alot of parts and service from manufacutres do leave alot to be desired.

When you have to ring a 090 number to find out if one part is compatible with another then its a sorry state of affirs.

I think it is rediculous that manufacturers dont have places where you can acess diagrams and spec sheets of major componets for example gearbox.

If you want a good quality part its often cheaper and quicker to buy a lathe/mill and make it yourself. I guess it depends on your skill set and level.

people do make Mistakes sometimes you know

wtf.....What is your ground for saying that ?

and whats with that -----> :ohcrap:

This is the last time I wish to edit one of your posts, read the rules!....a word of warning, when a Mod edits a post....dont edit it to what it was originally. As for the :ohcrap: smilley....dunno why I used it....just felt like it :ohcrap:

posted by  Car Nirvana

okies lee noble founded the noble and yes it is very ford ish look at the rear lights for example they look like they come of a mondeo and it does use a ford engine a nice 3.0 Ford Duratec V6 engine dunn dun dunn dunn equipped with two watercooled Garrett T25 turbochargers producing 310BHP/231.3 kW and will hit 0-60mph in under 4 seconds for about $67,750  it should get you to about 165mph tops.
the M12 is also unbelievably light a mear 2160 lbs and with help from that carbon fibre rear wing it it has a peak lateral grip of 1.156g and that is on standard road tyres Thats impressive :ticking:

For your :2cents: this baby is a sure winner
