I was considering getting a new car this spring. My dream car is a lotus
elise, but I wanted to make sure it was practical to drive around, to have
for every day driving. You know, make sure it's not SO rough a ride that
it's just annoying, and make sure that I can actually handle it for long
I didn't take pics but here's some thoughts from my experience.
Getting into the lotus SERIOUSLY requires you to be some kind of gymnast. I find new ways to get in every time. The guy was actually giving me tips and methods on how to get in. The seat drops down like a foot below the um...elevated plastic bump that is there when you open the door. You just need to fit your legs under the steering wheel without smacking your head on the top. It's easier when the top is off. It's interesting.
Once you're in, you're squished on each side, but the seat does go back about 2 inches if you need, which made it good enough for me (I'm 6'2")
The cd player and sound system blows, not that you can hear anything cause the engine is so loud! (which I don't mind). The windows rolled down in only a few turns. The top stores neatly in the trunk, which is actually big enough for a large duffel bag.
Now the best part -- driving it. It was so amazing. It was ridiculously fast. The engine is right behind your head and you can feel the cam open when you reach about 6500 rpm...and it doesn't redline till 8500, in which case a red light turns on, but you can even go to 10k rpm. The handling is incredible and it's such a thrill to drive in every way! And of course the brakes are impeccable...not much weight to stop, I suppose. The shifting is silky smooth and the steering is so precise and you forget the fact there's not a single convenience feature in the car.
Anyways, I am gonna go test some more cars...but I just feel like after driving the lotus, everything else will feel inferior in some way.
A car that handles like a go kart but goes like a thousand times as fast lol. That just kicks ass.
It's supposedly pretty safe, too.
I hate you :ohcrap:
i like the blue one with the white stripes in your sig!!!
as Mathew says "I hate you"
And it wont break the bank in running costs, either!
Well, you english folks are lucky enough to be able to get one of the older models. The US only got the elise in 2005...or 2004. I forgot
Lotus Elise.......I wasn't sure what this car was until I read this thread. I see these cars all over DC. Truthly they look painfully small. I saw someone open one of these up and they more than make up for their size in speed. What is the price tag on the Elise.....I'm guessing it is steep?:banghead:
42,900 base price.
That's part of what's amazing...they're so inexpensive but they smoke most porsches and some ferraris, and I don't mean just in a straight line, but they perform better also.
I saw a couple exiges in fairfax county myself.
And yes it is very small lol. Once you drive it, I promise none of that will matter.. Should go test drive one just for fun
Btw, the sport package ($2400) boosts the 0-60 time from 4.9sec to 4.7...stunning.
42K that is definitely reasonable for that kind of performance.
I'm sold! I'm going to do a some research to see if there is someplace local to rent one of these puppies .....something tells me they make you sign away your life for this type of car!
SO what's the HP and Tq rating on it? Whats it run in the 1/4?
for the U.S.A,,,
i dont have a donkey on the 1/4mile time, better ask bronxie:laughing:
190/138, good for mid to high 13s in the quarter. Due mostly to its 1900 lbs curb weight.
0-100 mph in 12.9 seconds also!
The best part is that there IS actually an aftermarket for this car. Not a big one, but it exists.
The dealership themselves (a motorsports place) even says they sell an air intake for it, and www.forcedfed.com make a turbo kit for it along with pretty much everything else.
Lotus also has a store for stuff like hats and watches...
I wonder if it's also extremely light lol.
You don't buy an Elise for quarter times. This is the car that put the auto world on notice when it comes to tuned suspension
Yeah, it's more about performance. Who cares what a car can do in a straight line? Although that never hurts :$
Thats what I figured. weak engine, but that weight puts it in the 1/4 some,
it isn't built for straight line racing anyway, I realize that, I just
wanted to see what bronxie's concept of "FAST" was.
Well, what's your idea of fast then?
0-60 in 4 point anything seconds is fast enough I think :wink2:
If you want to get aftermarket parts for the Elise, wouldn't you look towards a Toyota specialist seeing as though the engine is from a Celica? A Jackson racing supercharger would spice things up nicely for those who feel something lacking.
Is that compatible with its engine?
5.sl0w Mustangs that run 15s
:orglaugh: That was funny seeing as how I own an LS1 now. I consider that decently fast for stock. But to me 12 and under is fast.
so you have 2 BMWs and and going go get a lotus uh huh....
Yep...Do you have a problem with that?
What Ferrari will it smoke? Name ONE.
That weak ass Toyota engine isn't enough to make me pay $40,000+ for a stupidly small, stupidly uncomfortable Lotus. Their performance figures for the Exige were attained from Exiges equipped with inconvient Race-Spec tires. Poor mid-range torque means you will have to thrash the engine to get decent performance. Drive with a passenger and your weight-induced performance figures will suffer. But you won't get many passengers because the passenger side is about half the size of the stupidly small driver's area. Great track car, but for a road car, what are you paying for? A Celica engine? I'd much rather a FASTER IN EVERYWAY Corvette.
they are cool, but not quite as cool as the esprit. v8 twin turbo, to feel those turbos kick in is a thrill in its own. but back to topic, i would own one for that price.
Ferrari has been coming out with "luxurious", over-weight, passenger cars,
like the 612 scaglietti. It would demolish that on a track. The ferrari may
accelerate faster, but only slightly...for a $250,000 price tag as well.
And the only porsche models that even accelerate faster are the 911 carrera S's, 911 turbo and gt3, all priced MUCH higher. You see my point, and this isn't even including performance. It runs a 71.6 in a slalom test...that's .2 sec faster than a porsche carrera 4s, a car that costs twice as much. It's hard to argue against that, even though it does have a toyota engine. Mind you, I drove with a passenger during the test drive and I still came here to write this topic over how great it was. It's not like I've never driven a fast car either.
And when it comes to a sports car, what else can you ask for for this price? I don't know how much you value should be placed on a car because of its engine, but what about engineering and design? Lotus engineering isn't like any other, it's very unique.
As for being uncomfortable, I have driven a porsche boxster s before and a z4 si and they are mighty uncomfortable as well. Cramped on both sides, all that's there with you is the steering wheel, and your foot has to sit on the clutch so you can fit. (for me anyways)
Also a corvette convertible is too expensive. I don't want the coupe, either. And aside from that, EVERYONE has a corvette where I live..not to mention BMWs spewing out of this area's ass. I'd like to have something different for once.
You say the the weight induced performance suffers with a passenger, but for the same reason, the weight induced performance is very elastic to any changes you make. I bet if I bought an air intake from this company, acceleration would improve. Even the sports package decreases 0-60 time by .2 secs...that's amazing. How many cars can you name that have a performance option (other than engine option) that increase the acceleration by that much?
Lastly, the driver's area is pretty much the same as the passenger's area..I was in both. I don't like hauling people around either lol.
Ok, so what car would you suggest for the same price?
Great new yorkers think alike :D
i wouldnt go that far  , my boss bought a 99 esprit and that thing is stupid fast!!!!!!! 3/4 throttle had me fighting to keep my head upright!!! the nice thing is he only spent $20k on the car and could easily double his money if he were to resell it.
Hmmph you're not a real new yorker anyways :ohcrap:
You think that's weak? You guys didn't have to endure the literally weak K-series Rover engine they once had here in the UK.....Headgasket and waterpumps seemed to fail between fuel stops....
What other luxurious "passenger" cars have Ferrari produced? And don't be
stupid, the Scaglietti would defeat the Elise on all but the smallest,
The only Porsches that an Elise can out-accelerate on non-race spec tires are the non-turbo Cayenne and base Boxster. Oh, and that's going to 60 mph. After 60 mph when the inertia conquering advantage is over the Elise's acceleration drops off considerably. I'd also like to add that you think like a child. The Porsche Carrera and Lotus Elise have 2 seperate agendas. The Elise is a pure weekend track day. The Elise doesn't have the powerband, AWD, comforts, reliability, and I repeat comforts of the Carrera 4S. And the Carrera will probably still beat it at the track.
Oh and fyi, acceleration is a performance figure.
The performance option for the Elise includes those f*ck-you-in-the-rain race spec tires I've been mentioning...of course acceleration will increase. Lotus Engineering...hmm. Light weight+stiff suspension. That about sums it up. Lotus has produced a creative universal chassis design though. But as far as the light weight stiff suspension thing goes, other manufactures exist that do it lighter and stiffer.
The engine in my sports car is very important to me. That bitch engine in the Lotus breaks a helluva lot because of the stress you have to put on it to get manufacturer claimed performance figures. Exciting acceleration in an Elise stops at 60 mph. And if you want 0-60 mph in 5 seconds, you will be dropping the clutch at 6400 rpm. How long will it last...
The Elise's powerband sucks as expected. But you don't know anything about that.
Some cars that accomplish the weekend trackday task better than the Elise are: Caterham Superlight R400, Ariel Atom 220, Factory Five Racing GTM Mulsanne, Factory Five Racing Type 65 Coupe...etc...etc. All of these cars produce better all around performance figures than the Elise.
Some small cars that I'd choose over the Elise:
BMW 335 Coupe
They won't have the handling prestige of the Elise, but all of these cars will provide a more comforting, more reliable ride and better REAL WORLD acceleration.
Here is an article of the Exige being dominated on a track by a Cayman. http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/10833/2006-lotus-exige.html
Here is a video of a STOCK previous model Corvette defeating a RACE PREPPED...I repeat...RACE PREPPED Lotus Elise. Race prepped means more than just the cheating tires.
i take it ou dont really like the Lotus Elise!!!!:ohcrap:
its a great car to drive (or in my case, ride around in) and its a great car to whizz round a track!
no wonder you have been banned so many times. who pisses in your wheaties everyday?? why cant you just accept the fact that he likes the car and no matter what you say he is going to come back with something that backs his likes about the car. its pointless to rant and rave about how good/bad a car is. you can voice your opinion, but it should stop there. i have been guilty in the past of that same thing, but i became open minded and dont care anymore. ok, i vented, now i'll just sit back and wait for you to "shame" me (like you said you were going to do months ago), k peanut?
thats a better response to what you wrote before you edited!!!
i totally agree with you!
I love Lotus for what they have achieved in motorsport and for their cars. The Elise would make a great track car and yet you wouldn't out of place on the road compared to a Se7en.
How do you mean thrash the engine? What constitutes thrashing said motor? What, in your view, is decent performance... please quantify?
How dare you compare yourself to I. You are an emotional being. I am a
cold calculated beast. I do not care if I change his mind. I do not care
that he likes the Elise. I understand that he likes the Elise and I don't.
I am not trying to make him I. That would be an absurd attempt. No one
pisses in my Wheaties. I am not angry. Did I appear angry? Did I go
beyond voicing my opinion? I don't believe so because I am I and I
understand what I am not feeling. But if my post was as emotional as you
thought it to be...ban me for it?
Shut the fuck up.
I seem to recall you asking me to name one. And if you were wondering, I
was referring to some slightly older mid 90s ferraris but since you asked I
gave you a new one. The 4100 lb scaglietti would defeat the lotus on all
but the twistiest of tracks? No. Sorry, it wouldn't, even though the 0-60
time is .2 seconds faster, it wouldn't be able to handle what the lotus
could. So don't be stupid
Even if you choose the non race spec tires, it still out accelerates the carrera cabriolet and carrera 4 cabriolet. Add the sports package or 'racing tires' (which I test drove with btw) and it outdoes ALL porsches excluding the 911 turbo, 911 gt3 and carrera 4s coupe, and that's by .1 second. So basically we're talking about a variancy of about .2 seconds here between all those porsches and this lotus. Not bad for such a crappy car.
Mind you, it accelerates plenty fast after 60mph.
And it's not a pure weekend track day car. It's just as comfortable, or as uncomfortable rather, as a porsche boxster or cayman. I suppose those are week end day cars, too? And people don't pay 80-100 grand for carreras for the "comforts", they pay for the exceptional performance and speed, excellent engineering and high quality parts. There aren't even many comforts in it if you're talking about luxury or convenience here. Oh, and let me remind you that it beats the carrera 4s in the slalom. Again, not bad for a car that costs half as much.
I have researched a lot on lotus, the company and its history. There are even suspension options in the track pack if I wanted where I can get an adjustible suspension...and bilstein shocks and some other stuff.
I've read a lot of reviews and I've never seen anyone say it broke but surely I'll check more. And as I've said, the exciting accelerations continues all the way to...well, as I've said I only went up to 110, but it didn't seem like it was gonna stop there.
It doesn't matter in this car if the power band sucks, but you wouldn't know anything about that.
I don't go to the track on week ends nor do I intend to. I went to the lotus dealership to see if it was practical to use for every day driving, and I have found that IT IS. You must not have ever driven one.
Only cars I would consider over a lotus there are the boxster/cayman...and that's only in the S version.
Here is a video of a STOCK previous model Corvette defeating a RACE PREPPED...I repeat...RACE PREPPED Lotus Elise. Race prepped means more than just the cheating tires.
I've driven BOTH and the cayman and/or boxster feels way inferior to the lotus, and no this was not on a track.
Let's just look at cars in the same PRICE RANGE as a lotus, rather than comparing them to carreras and ferraris. This is what I know off the top of my head.
BMW z4 si roadster: Substantially worse at accelerating. Cramped inside. Pretty nice interior. Light enough.
Price: 42,000 base...
Porsche boxster: Substantially worse at accelerating. Not exactly comfortable compared to the lotus. Many plastic parts on the interior :\ Super light weight is good. Rear mounted engine owns.
Mercedes slk350: Doesn't accelerate nearly as well. VERY cramped inside. Slightly cheap interior, for a mercedes. Retractable hardtop is nice feature. Kind of heavy compared to the others.
Nissan 350z convertible: Worse at accelerating. Not very nice on the inside. I don't know about how it feels, I've never driven one.
Audi tt 3.2l roadster: Substantially slower. Not fun to drive at all. Has quattro.
Chrysler crossfire: Faster than the rest. Ugly as hell. Cheap ass interior. Reluctant to buy because of all the crappy ass reviews (dozens) on the sebring.
Lotus elise: Faster than ALL of these in 0-60 time. Exceptional handling. The interior IS actually nice. Shitty ass sound system. Exceptional handling. Real driver-car interaction. EXCLUSIVITY. Like I said earlier, where I live, EVERYONE is driving a porsche, bmw...especially 350z's lol. Hard to get into.
Basically what I am saying is, compared to competing vehicles, the lotus, in my opinion, is the best bargain for the money.
I don't know why you're so bitter over lotuses..
I'm not comparing the Elise to Ferraris and Carreras, you are. 0-60 mph
isn't as powerful as you lead you to believe. What is an Elise's 30-50
mph? 50-70? Wait, I've found those stats. It reads: terrible.
Does that quarter mile say 13.9 seconds? What? The Lotus isn't about acceleration, yes I know. But what it is about, other cars are about it better while retaining acceleration.
You only go 0-60 once really (usually) during a test drive...I am pleased
with the entire experience. I think that says a lot. Anyways I loved
it...and before I make my FINAL decision, I'll go try those other cars so I
can give you better reason as to why they aren't as good, or maybe they
will be as good. Shrug.
Anyways I will go test drive an M roadster...see if that's better for more dough.
the elise is a great car. considering the weight of the vehicle, the 2zz-ge
pushes it very well. extremely agile car as well.
to asnwer whats question of "name one ferrari it will smoke, i will name several
and numerous others. what myfriend, you have been prooved wrong. how does that feel?
on another note,
bronxie, how do you go on test drives? with cars like those, salesmen, and managers dont just let people drive their cars unless they are pretty sure that youre buying.
You forgot the Dino lol.
dammit, i knew i forgot something... and thats my name too... how does one forget something like that?!?!
First let me say I was thinking of discontinued ferraris when I said that
but I wanted to name a new ferrari that it could smoke :D
I pull up in a BMW first of all.
I always dress really nice and I'm not talking just "clean" and fitted. I am talking I have a platinum watch, platinum chain, gold bracelet, a pair of oakleys, expensive designer shirts.
Then of course I tell them the story of how my dad bought me a 325xi and I didn't like it, then I got a 325ci a few months later and don't like it, and it doesn't take more than 2min before they are thinking $$$ signs and, "wow, what a spoiled kid."
It helps to have a little 5 o'clock shadow on your face. Bushy beards look juvenile. 5 o'clock shadows look manly.
Be casual with them and familiar. Younger people tend to act uncomfortable in front of dealers and try to speak too properly...just try to be loose and talk a lot. Dealers will listen to you.
Lastly, my county is one of the wealthiest in the country, and fairfield county, Connecticut (where I buy my bmws...the ferrari-maserati dealership, bentley rolls-royce aston martin dealership, porsche, lotus..just about every other nice car you can think of) is like the first or second most affluent. So it's not too farfetched.
I suggest you try it. Lexus of massapequa won't stop calling me, though god damn it
Discontinued Ferraris? That's what you were thinking? Oh, ok. I see
you're one of those illogical people. You're one of those "make it fit"
My previous Eclipse is king because it can smoke Ferraris, Porsches, Bugattis and professional race cars.
professional race cars my arse!!!!! i dont believe that!!!:ticking:
I think I speak for everybody when i say give us some proof:wink2:
no no no guys, you have to believe him, for he is the almighty - sack-o-crap, dont worry, what, i beleive you:thumbs: just for the reason that you and i are both hardcore internet thugs... right homie?!?! for sure dog, fo shizzle dizzle, WORD
You're going to fo shizzle dizzle a word?
no, if you noticed, there is a comma looks like this ---> , <--- that separates the two phrases...
and since when did we care how you dress? im seriously thinking you dont own any cars now -.-
Since when someone asked him hwo he test drove those expensive vehicles.
some of those salesman have to be carefull... its not how they dress that determines anything. ive seen some of the slobbiest people buy bentleys.... usually, some of the least well dressed people are some of the richest, just cuz they dont spend their money on everything...
Works with cars, too. Sometimes wealthy people drive sheds, lol
I've noticed that wealthy people wear hawaiian shirts lol.
Nice observation there Chris, lol
Walk into a Ferrari dealership...you'll see two types of people, ones
wearing monacles and ones wearing hawaiian shirts...Just look:
BTW I've never been to a Ferrari dealership, so my reply was solely based on awesome assumptions lol.
Obviously not, but it is somewhat of a determining factor...........
my dad gets a good reception in his work uniform from the manager of SAAB, Jaguar and BMW in Falmouth (cornwall, uk) mind you, he is a courier!!!
Oh, is that because you have no response to the example of an outgoing
ferrari that it could "smoke" as I said?
Yeah, I thought so. So much for being perfect.
Andrew0261 - You're a retard.
Wow. I read a forum called elisetalk.com
You should SEE all the problems lotuses have. There's a thread called "problems with your elise?", 7 pages, and every single poster had a problem, then finished by saying that, "other than that, I love the car!"
Where to start...these were the most common problems.
Doors coming unglued
Black ooze coming out of door
Top insulation coming unglued
Tail lights coming unplugged (wtf?)
Spider webs in head lights
Head lights mis-aimed
Speakers falling off
Driver's seat loose (um .. scary)
Washers and bolts falling out of door
One dude found a drill bit in his hood lol
One guy's alarm went off cause of the rain
Windows don't roll up all the way
Radio never works.
Just reading through the topics on maintenance forum...
"Should I worry about a small nut in the fuel tank?"
"Anyone else have issues with the door hinges?"
"Passenger door won't open from outside"
"1 Attachment(s) Failed 2nd Gear Synchro - Warranty Claim Approved (was denied)"
Brake light won't go off "
"My headlights are burning! WTF?"
Tons more... Just stuff that should NOT be happening in a car, even though they may seem minor.
Mind you, these are cars that came out in 05 in the US. I am really reluctant to get one now.
I think I want an 07 mx5 instead.
I'm glad you verified my input. People here confuse my personality with
misinformation and ignorance. I distribute neither. You may not agree
with my view of myself, but I will not give you bullshit info and I will
try to make it clear when I am giving my opinion.
Was your BMW wrecked?
i think the old elise was better in build quality etc etc than the new one,
but i dont think you lot across the pond get them do you?
(im not saying this because bronxie rectified said problems! im just saying off knowledge)
infact, get a Noble M12 GTR, youll be happier!
Yes, you were right, except I didn't see anything about the engine,
(thankfully) but it is just a 2 year old car in the US.
And yes, the BMW is owned. Happened like a week ago but I didn't say anything cause I knew everyone would be like, "LOL THAT'S WHY YOU DON'T GET 18 Y/OS 45K CARS ???" and I wanted to spare myself, but no point in hiding it any more. Here's pics.
^^^ That one pissed me off, cause the idiots decided to put some random debris inside the car, which was perfectly fine (except for 4 air bags being deployed). It just makes it look worse than it is, and my beautiful leather is gonna be ruined (not that it matters lol)
My 17 inch wheels got owned. (It's supposed to come with 16s but they are 17s. Silly BMW)
What did you hit? And how fast were you?
It was on a dirty back country road in MA that I was unfamiliar with. Dark,
of course, not ideal road conditions (some fog) and I was on a road that
turned right and left, each at 90 degree angles.. (no sign) and I went
straight, by the time I tried to turn, I couldn't, and I hit a tree. I was
going about 35-40.
Managed to control enough of my momentum so that nobody was injured. DEFENSIVE DRIVER FTW
Sorry to hear about the car, Broxie. The main thing is that you're ok (I hope) and the leather interior is ok...
Does your insurance cover that? :ohcrap:
at least you didnt lie and say you were getting another car because you were bored of the bmw
(even though your rolling in cash:laughing: )
but that sucks, hope you find something equally good
Oh yeah....don't get an Elise....they won't like the trees as much as the Beemer....:ohcrap:
I'm okay, clifford :D and so was my gf thank god.
Yes my insurance covers it but we still have to pay a shit load (like 17 grand for some reason) plus 800 dollars extra a month for like 5 years. Makes me wonder what the point in insurance is...lol
My dad called me and was like, "Yeah, so I guess we're gonna buy a corolla or something.", but who knows, I don't feel like I deserve anything better given the circumstances. I already ****ed up one car.
im terribly sorry about that bronxie! i think the next car you buy is a
built like a tank they are!!!!
I want a miata. They are much safer than lotuses, they have side curtains
and side air bags.
And no offense but .. NO @ that car LOL
Then again, scratch the corolla. I will just buy my OWN car if he gets me that.
OK...he is telling me to get another BMW. He's like, "Why don't you get the
5 series?" I'm like no dude...no. Then something about a honda.
When my stepmom asked about me getting the miata he said, "we'll see", which means yes, sort of.
So based on the fact he is willing to spend BMW 5 series money (45k) and get me a miata, maybe I can push for something like porsche boxster...
Doubt it, though. I would still LOVE a miata. Fun, fast enough (easy to enhance) beautiful car.
I'm gonna have a hell of a time this week end trying out these cars!!
what about the beetle convertible?
have you thought of an off roader???
like the mitsubisji shogun or the land rover discovery/freelader (lr3)
I have one word for everything you said.
What about a BMW Z Series?
Well, they are gonna be replacing the Z's engines throughout.
I would love an M (though pricy) but I know that in the next few months they will be putting in the v8 that will go into all Ms.
Likewise, the SI version will be getting the new 300hp twin-turbo engine
And the regular one will get the better 3.0 liter engine used in the 3 series sedans and coupes.
The reason they didn't start yet is cause if they put the twin-turbo in the SI, it will be faster than the current M lol. They need to wait for the v8 to be ready.
And I need a car like now. I can't stand this ml350.
a mercedes slk350?
a bmw alpina/schnitzer???
I wish I had a ML350 to drive while sports car shopping:laughing:
I don't really like mercedes that much. For luxury, they're amazing. For
driving, the steering is really loose, and the only car that has a manual
transmission in the states is the slk350, and that's over-priced. For that
price I'd jump all over an M roadster.
CLK looks very feminine if you ask me. I don't care about luxury at all, you seem to forget that!!!
And the ml350 is OK, but driving suvs takes practice lol
I would have agreed with you a few years ago, now though, I find Merc's are the better car, obviously that's my opinion....the only downside is that they've only just learned how to make a decent manual transmission!
Maybe you're right. All I know is I've driven 3 mercedes in my life: 2006
ml350 (loose steering, but it's an suv) 2003 sl500 (loose steering,
especially compared to BMWs) and a c350/c280 as loaner cars (I dont think
I've ever driven a car with looser steering.
Going to try to come home with a car today.
and what would that be???
Dad said he'd get me the z4...so I was like bleh, might as well get the
miata, the price difference isn't worth it. Then he said the SI version,
and he is actually encouraging me to stock up on some options (which I
don't really need but oh well!)
He said the lotus will get us butt raped again cause it's a race car. Maybe in June I'll get one.
So as things stand...Z4 SI.
id be happy with a Z4, no matter if its an SI, (what does that mean? i dont think we have the SI in europe, if we have, i havnt seen it!!!)
SI has the same 3.0l engine but with 255hp as opposed to the regular
0-60 times are substantially different (6.2 - 5.6)
I test drove the 335i sedan but he only had an automatic. It was OK but he kept yellin at me to not go fast cause he's a pussy. I'm like dude I want to test the power otherwise it's just like any other BMW to me. It was pretty good but I do not really want another sedan, it's just all he had that was comparable
I might get a crimson red 335i. Oh the choices.
