news that TVR may be comig back with a new owner and if it all turns out
nicely, they will even bring back the TVR Griffith, but plans would be to
sell cars in the USA!!!
clicky here-y (http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/224103/)
look what i found, a ebay auction that happened last december, someone was
selling the ONLY road legal TVR Speed 12! (considered to be a mclaren f1
killer at its time!)
That'd be nice.
They'd still be using Ford motors I hope...
yeah, pretty much a lotus elise with 800-900hp +
no, what gives you that idea???
they use in-house designed straight six's
No, I believe they had a contract with Ford for some of their engines if I'm not mistaken...
Done some research just now (I knew TVR stuck V8 AC Cobra lumps in their cars a while back, but that's it), and saw that they put the Ford Zodiac V6 engine in the cars in the late 60s
i agree with that! they used the ford v8's, then went on to 6cyl's, then
the reincarnation of the v8 they used were Rover V8's then went back onto
straight 6's which were in house developed!
but apparently theyll get back to using V8's on the basis of thier own AJP V8 which was planned to go into the Cerbera Speed8 but development took longer than expected!
i suppose theyll use the Ford engines in america as the current ones dont really match up to the USA's qualifications
i love the sagaris
