Also thinking of getting a GTI
I mentioned before I was thinking of getting a late 90's Subie. Well thats a possibility. I also like the MK3 GTIs (VW). It would have to be a VR6 though, I think the 2 L would be just too slow. Any thoughts, inputs?

I've heard that many enthusiasts like the 2L more than the VR6 model because it rides better. It is slower, but they say the handling is better. Although that may be for the MK IV not the MK III. :2cents:

ive heard that, although powerful, the VR6 is very thirsty which is why the 2litre is preffered to more in this country!

a golf is easy to modify (whatever golf you pick) but id take the 2.0!
they have good enough oomph anyway!
