For full features; Go to 89 volvo 760 turbo for a first car?
Well I've been searching autotrader, the local newspaper, and ebay, for a
reliable, cheap, sleeper, and I think I've found it. I know I have a
pontiac catalina, but It still needs alot of money, and time to be good to
go, and I dont want to back it into a tree or something , I just
need a POS to learn in. I found this car on autotrader, It has around 225k
miles on it, Its turbocharged, and intercooled, and looks pretty clean and
all that. He is asking $1600 I dont think thats fair for the amount of
miles on it, I'm thinking more like $1000.
anyway, will this car last me atleast another 100k miles ya think? Is there
any common problems with this car? Is this car a sleeper, or can it easily
and cheaply become one? My mom is willing to buy it, as long as I pay her
back and only if I Really Really want it, she thinks it looks like
something a criminal would drive :screwy:.

I disagree with this choice. Buckle down and get a light weight Civic.
Everyone has a Civic, right?
If you can't pay for this car, you don't have the cash to make it
"reliably" quick. A "sleeper"? F*ck no. Not with your pockets. Be real,
dude, do you wanna drive this shit?
Light weight is the fastest way to cheap speed.
