Apparently, the Trabant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trabant) turns 50 today lol...Nothing too spectacular, but it's probably the cheapest running car that you can get in Europe lol.

I used to own a Trabant... picked it up in '87 for only roughly $10,000. I actually modded the hell out of that puppy and she made well over 500 whp. great car if you know what you're doing.

yes, it is very doable. I bolted on a turbo on her, full front-mount intercooler, along with other variable parts. she was faster than a mofo on speed.
