I don't like the headlights or the "pointy" front end. All good looking
top-notch modern luxury 4-doors have nice blunt front-ends.
What
I agree, everything in front of the front wheels needs a do-over. The rear
end is Aston Martin sexy...
Mathew
I agree about the rear end looking like an Aston...I recon the whole car
looks kind of like a VW though.....
Cliffy
So when's the lawsuit coming from Aston Martin?
Well I guess if Hyundai can get away with what it's done recently...
jedimario
1. Ford owns both Jag and Aston.
2. The new Jag was designed by the designer of current Aston Martins, if I
am not mistaken.
Mathew
I thought Ford sold Aston and Jaguar?
jedimario
Oh, really? Am I behind the times?
edit: just checked, jag and land rover are up for sale...
Mathew
oh look it's the new Aston Martin.
GreekWarrior
Ford did JUST sell aston to Prodrive, but they hold a minority stake in it
still .Jag is up for sale, but is still owned by Ford.
And yes, Ian Callum, head of Jaguar design now, was responsible for the
design direction that Henrik Fisker went with the Aston DB9. Ian Callum did
design the DB7 and Vanquish.
There cannot and will not be a design suit brought against Jaguar by Aston.
That's just stupid. Besides, ONLY the Jag's rear only bears a superficial
resemblance to the Aston design language.
This is the modern Jag that has been asked for since the current Jags are
considered "stodgy" and are slow selling.
ChrisV
Ah, I thought the CAT people ended up buying it. Guess not.

Tata is looking at Jag and Land Rover.
ChrisV
Just great. A worthless automotive manufacturer is attempting to buy
Jaguar. Just when Ford was doing something good with it.
DSMer
Yeah the front doesnt look anywhere near as good as the back. They should
go back and try that one more time :2cents:
