For full features; Go to 2003 Mini Cooper S button function
Okay, this is going to seem like a *duh* question, but I have no idea what
one of the buttons does in my car. I skimmed and then combed through the
owner's manual looking for any sort of reference to it and/or it's
function, but no dice. Naturally, the dealer doesn't have a clue (it's a
jaguar dealership), and I just feel silly for not having any idea what it's
for. :ohcrap:
Now for the description: If you're sitting in the driver's seat, and you
look down below the steering wheel and to the left (toward the door,
obviously), you should see a small button that is oblong and has a picture
of some roundish shape with the number '2' in the middle and 3 parallel
lines protruding from said roundish shape. When pressed, the button has a
green indicating light that gives the impression that something has
happened, but with no further indication as to what exactly DID happen.
Anyone out there know what this button is all about?
thanks

Maybe it was a self-destruct button? lol

Could this be said button?...Below the air vent (small picy and hardly
noticeable....but it's a start, lol). I can't be of much help here, but the
button looks like it's optional/after-market due to where it's placed, and
it doesn't appear on all models. I'm guessing it's a 'spec' thing?

Sport Performance....
It's a button to change shift points if auto, tighten steering, etc...
Guessing that is what you are talking about.
Ruiner
No the Sport button is in front of the stifter on the left, right before
the "airplane" switches
