Hope this thread is in the right section :doh: I think it is.

I'm looking at buying a 1989 BMW 535I and I'm worried it's going to unreliable. I was told to get onto a forum and ask about the specific model/year, just because some years are lemons and others are more reliable. I know it has had a few issues (suspension etc) but has always been fixed and serviced at a BMW dealer.

So what's the verdict?
