BMW 1-series ??

Home  \  European Imports  \  BMW 1-series ??

Guys i just came across this and thought i'd share it with you. its the new BMW 1-series. (thats what i read any way)

Bav, whats your view? you're the BMW man! (i think)

looks beautiful as most BMW's! not so sure about the rear end though, looks odd to me. i don't think its supposed to be a car. it's meant to be like that Audi 4 by 4 i think

yeah we kinda did this one a while back, its supsoed to be a small car to compete with small focus sort of size, I think it looks like a cross breed between thr front end of a 3 series and the rear of a fiat stilo

:puke: The best german-made car in terms of exterior design is still the 911 imo. Everthing else is highly questionable.

4 words.......... it all looks wrong
what the hell is up with BMW at the moment :banghead:

It's a 1 series...not meant for doing 160mph down the autobahn...although I'm sure it could handle the speed better than most rice.

It's a city car. (European Style)

Yeah the 911 is the best body styling especially eh 911GT2. That thing looks a like a GOLF. Eww its ugly, BMW should disown that thing, they allreay got that nasty looking new 5 lets not add to the collection of ugly children one is enough.

The last beamer in Bav's signature is the bets bodystyling for BMW's. Always has been always will be.

posted by  DSMer

there styles by a guy called Ken what more eveidence do you want! I think they are going to re style the 3 seris (last of bav's) to match up with the 1, 5 & 7 series

posted by  cinqyg

The "last" is a 5 series...they all are. :banghead:

What....... I never said it was ment to go fast :screwy:
I said it 'all looks wrong' as in the lines of the car dont look right

posted by  Car Nirvana

And at the tender age of 15 yrs, what would you know about the "lines" of the car and what BMW was looking to offer?

If its just your opinion that its ugly, that's fine...no problem there. But to say, "all looks wrong" is a bit different.

I'm going to assume it was just your opinion and that being that you think it's ugly. :wink2:

yeah i'm not a fan of Bangle's work with BMW. i'm more fan of the M5 in Bav's sig and the M Coupe my dad has.

Not a BMW master, but I like the mid-late 90's BMW body styling. Nothing has a more sporty/luxrious appeal than an all black 328is with 19" Chrome Mille Miglia Evo 5 Rims and a chrome trim. Greatest exterior looking BMW. Also works with the 2 door 5 series but I like the I-6 in the 3.

Thos pics posted by Weapon did that car no justice. Its gorgeous from the side but on angles its hideous.. I have to say its a 50/50 car Bav, either you like it or you dont.. It still need some Mille Miglia Evo 5's on it... All Beamers do..

Aesthetic upgrades are a given.

You just have to envision them in your head.

I just got an A* in my gfx design corsework, in september im going to college to do a art and gfx design BTEC national diploma, then after that carry on the corse at uni.
So i think i know a little more about 'lines on a car' than you

My opinion is that its ugly and the lines are all wrong. :wink2:

posted by  Car Nirvana

Well then...that certainly changes everything! An A* in a gfx design "corsework"!

Your vast knowledge and experience has caught something the designers and engineers at BMW didn't catch. You must be some kind of prodigy!

 don't you get all technical with me. Does BMW have like a contract with them or something I've seen those "wheels" on alot of Beamers. Or is it like something that BMW orders for you or what?

posted by  DSMer

**shoulder shrugg**

Could just be owner preference. I don't care for the style myself. It's not ugly, but it wouldn't be my choice either.

I'm not sure, my old mans has a 98 745iL and he got a catalogue for some wheels(Hes always gotta have his chromies). And this was a BMW book and it had the Evo5's in there and I was like damn I've seen those everywhere. I want a set on my car, but I don;t have $250/piece for each one. I figured they were an official wheel of BMW or something..

you can pick all sorts of things up at your local breakers yard, including tetnus, and on ebay, if your looking for things on a budget, other places are owners clubs.

posted by  BavarianWheels

Sorr Bav, but I would have to agree that those would be THE ugliest wheels on a BMW. BBS's are wheels, but not on Beamers unless they are Touring or racing or something. Those things look like they belong on a Camaro or something that drags. But thats a vintage look, am I right? Those type of spokey wheels used to be on BMW's?

I got set of mille's but there 98PCD 34mm off set 14'' 4 studs whcihs wont really help
