I just bought my son a 1988 oldsmobile delta 88 it is a high miler but runs
good.I got it home and it has a horrible noise in the engine like there is
marbles in the motor when its running.I am wondering if anyone has ever had
this problem and could direct me in the right direction I am at my wits end
about it.The noise is only really bad at idle as far as I can tell.

Oh, wow that's not good. I hope its not one of those cars that when you
pull up to you wanna rip your ears off because it makes such annoying
sounds and needs tuning. :-)
But, is there anyway to see if anything is visible that is broken or
missing? I really haven't heard of this type of problem but I'll do some
research and ask a friend who's a mechanic.
