I AM SELLING MY TAX EXEMPT 1971 1256CC VAUXHALL VIVA HC DELUXE
WELL WERE DO I START THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN LOVINGLY RESTORED TO OVER AND
ABOVE ITS FORMER GLORY OVER A FIVE YEAR PERIOD,THE RESTORATION WAS
COMPLETED IN APRIL 1996.
AROUND £10,000 HAS BEEN SPENT TO TOTALLY REBUILD THE CAR, BRING IT TO SHOW
WINNING CONDITION. PARTS HAVE BEEN SOUGHT AND BOUGHT FROM ALL OVER THE UK;
VAUXHALL DEALERS HAVE SHOWN A GREAT INTREST. AND HAVE SCOURED THEIR
BACKROOMS FOR ORIGINAL STOCK, DUSTED OFF BOXES, AND EXCITEDLY RANG TO TELL
OF THEIR FINDS.
COUNTLESS HOURS HAVE BEEN SPENT ON THE TELEPHONE TRACING PART NUMBERS, OR
DESCRIBING THE EXACT SHAPE OF A WING MIRROR OR SOME OTHER PART. ALTHOUGH
THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN REBUILT USING GENUINE VAUXHALL PARTS, THE ONLY THING
LEFT ON THE CAR THAT WAS THERE WHEN ITS LIFE BEGAN IS THE ROOF PANEL.THE
CAR HAS WON FIRST PRICE IN EVERY SINGLE SHOW THAT SHE HAD ENTERED,
INCLUDING THE ANUAL VIVA RALLY, AND IT WAS ALMOST CERTAINLY THE FINEST
EXAMPLE IN THE COUNTRY.
this was in 1989 to 2003 it has not been used that much after its fame
and in 2005 retired from road use still with the same tyres still with 7mm
of tread on each still.as it was timeless after restoration and brand new
gold seal engine still running in only covering 12000 miles . and a engine
bay floors sills etc you can eat your dinner off.
now in 2007 and a house move later i have decided to recomision and sell
on as i dont have the time now as a every growing family and work keeps me
busy. so now the car does have a few rust bubbles here and there the worse
one is on the passenger side rear wheel archs not rotton light rust bubbles
and a couple of paint chips but not bad and on removing the seat covers i
found that the drivers seat has worn in places.
the head was sent off for unleaded conversion in septermer 2007 and was
completed to a high standard with recon rockers and push rods and new
unleaded valves, stems etc. and the rest of the engine was a gold seal
engine 12000 miles ago.also the car had a full service oil, filters, plugs,
leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm, points and condenser, new choke cable, all
the water was taken out and refreshed with new anti freeze, fresh brake
fluid and new shoes and wheel cylinders.fresh petrol , and a carb rebuild
plus full engine tune up. runs absolute a1. i will also be putting 12
months mot on her before the auction ends as i know she will fly through so
bring some insurance with you you can tax if for free as its exempt and a
historic vehicle and drive her home.
the chrome is imaculate and an easy winter project to get it back to its
show winning ways. i am being as honest as can be this car is well worth a
look on its is also going to get advertised elsewere if you are intrested
in viewing her you can email me @ dillion.harrison@hotmail.com and my phone
number is 07721951554 but withheld numbers will not be answered
included in the sale are all the various trophies and rosettes that have
been won, invoices and photographs giving a detailed history of the
restoration, and a complete history of the car from when it was supplied
new from a wolverhampton dealer

Good luck on selling the car, it looks great, but on CF, we only have 1
member from the UK, so I don't know how successful you'll be.
chris_knows
Actually there's three of us, including the OP, lol. (the other one is
T_B...but he's dead or something, lol)
Cliffy
He left C-F for CF I think lol.
chris_knows
Yeah, although he seems to have disappeared, lol.....I had to think about
what you said there for a second, lol.
