Hey, what's up.
My brothers friend has a 2000-2005, somewhere within those years I believe,
Yamaha TTR 125. He says he only wants about 700 for it and will let me pay
him 500 and then owe him 200.
My question is, is that a decent/quick bike. My friend has a 2004 Honda
TRX250EX quad and I think it is pretty quick. Does anyone know how this
dirt bike will compare to it? I don't race or anything like that, I just
want to ride around and do some trails, but I don't want it to be slow.

The TTR 125 is a great bike. I think it comes with 8 horspower. It isnt
really all that slow. I liked it:). I am not sure if you would like to use
money on it but if you do you can bring that 8 up to 12. Do so by getting a
bigger air filter,Bigger Jets (be careful not to make them to big),
aftermarket new pipe if you do get one you should take of your seat and cut
the hole for the air to go in the air box bigger so the air to go in faster
because it can now go out faster which will help a lot(FMF, Big Gun are
good pipes). That is all that i can think of right now but i'm pretty sure
there were other things to do to it. If you like going off big jumps this
bike isn't the bike you want. That was my only problem with it. I could
compare the tt to the crf 150. The 150 starts with 12 horspower. Suspension
is a lot better:). If you look it up you will figure out that it weighs
somewhere in the 220 pounds but to tell you the truth you can't feel that
weight at all for some reason. But 700 dollars is a good deal and so if i
were you i would go for that.
