Will these work together?
Would these work together. I want to hook up 2 subs in parallel to them.

MONO AMP: Rockford Fosgate Punch P3001

I Saw these up together at a local store. but i figured the amp would blow
the subs because of the wattage. but i dont know. i might be wrong. Please
help me,
BTW, I am not going to buy them from Crutchfield... Im just using it for
showing the stuff.
It would work, but sound horrible for the price (unless you can get EVERYTHING for under $300). Those subs really dont cut it...and with that amp you'd be underpowering them severely (each sub would only get 75 watts). Stay away from Rockford Fosgate...pay too much for too little in return. Volfenhag DVC subs (www.ikesound.com) run $50 and will outpound AND sound better than Rockford P3's. Look into a mono amp from Hifonics.
how would they be only getting 75 watts a piece? The amp says that it puts out 300watts by 1 channel at 2 ohms And that is what i would be doing. running it at 2 ohms. Two 4 ohm subs hooked up in parallel to a mono amp
Sorry, was thinking dual 4-ohm. They would get 150 a piece from 300rms @
2ohm, which isnt underpowering them, but you're definatley not sending
clean power to them through a class AB amp and especially running it at
2ohms. For subs dont settle for ANYTHING less than a Class D mono amp. Plus
running a class AB amp at 2ohms isnt too smart to begin with.
Like I said, look into the Volfenhags (10x better than RF P2's) and a
Hifonics mono amp.
I wouldn't get the punch series, they're Rockford's cheaper brand, and
really no better than the competition. Rockford Power is actually a good
brand, I've been very satisfied with my power stuff, never have had a
problem, and good quality, though a little pricey.
As T-Bird said, class D is the way to go, in a sort. If you're extremely
pickey about quality, AB all the way. If you want a good power/price ratio,
and not go through alternators like condoms, class D is the way to go. I
personally would go Class D, though my Power amp is AB, I regret it now
that I have more power running through it and everything cuts out at idle.
Does Volfenhag have a website or make any 10" Subs?
Any what kind of Amp would you recommend if i did decide in the end to just
stick with thoes punch subs. How would this one be? click here
