i may open a can of worms here but in a straight up drag what would win Rx7 twin turbo Or Supra twin turbo or a 3000 gtvr4 twin turbo

If they were all stock...I think it goes Supra then VR4 and RX7...provided the VR4 is one of the early years...

It's really all pretty close

Supra TT 13.3-13.5
RX7 13.9 (as corrected)
VR 13.5-14.0

i havent seen a stock rx-7 postin 13.1's up to this day...... not even in the brochures... they actually get shown with higher times along the 13.7's..... anyhow, we have had this discussion so many times that it should really get closed early...

But the supra puts out way more horspower and torque than an RX7 twin turbo. Is it just that the supra has hella more weight?

yeah, If i remeber correctly, the Supra weighs 3600lbs, and when my brother registered his 93 FD3s it was 2790...I think.

the 3rd gen in stock well working condition will pull around a 13.9. supra is the better 1/4 mile car. rx7 is a better handling car and usually better top end vechile.

But it cant beat the Supra TT's top end...man those things are highway beasts!!!

the FD3S weighs well above 3,000lbs..... i think it was around 3,200lbs. the MKIII Supra is the one that weighs 3,500-3,700lbs, i should know, i have one. the MKIV model actually weighs less, at around 3,300lbs.

sometimes some cars can be quite heavy, but due to their awesome low end power, gears, strong differentials, etc, they can still achieve very quick times in the 1/4 mile. the RX-7 isnt really a 1/4 mile beast, and it wasnt meant to be. it was meant to be a car that can handle tight turns as much as possible and still be quick in the straightaways.

Allright, your right about the Supra. I just knew for sure the RX-7 was realtivley light. Seeing as how I was there when he had it weighed.
