am buying a new car and iam on tight budget so iam stuck to choose between
those cars:
Toyota Yaris Sedan
Daihatsu Sirion
Fiat Grande Punto
which one you prefer and why?

I wasn't aware that Toyota made the Yaris in sadan form. Regardless, it
would be the Yaris I'd go for.

i thought it was the aygo in the uk...or its a different car??

They are too different cars over here, although I believe that the Aygo is
the replacement for the Yaris.

I might seriously consider the Fiat with those choices. I like the feel of
the older Toyotas (talking european) such as mid 90's Celicas and stuff,
but the newer stuff is detached. All the Fiats I have driven feel like
drivers cars... The older models (and possibly the newer ones) though do
pull timing or something when you are trying to downshift. A modern Honda
civic does the same, I am not sure if that is to aid in saving trannies or
what, but it is a pretty big minus as far as driveability goes if you drive
in conditions that require heel toeing even occaisonally. So drive it
first, go from an on accelerator and a cruising throttle position and
downshift, if the revs don't come out with out flooring it I wouldn't
bother personally.

Yeh maybe. I drive the American stuff for 10.5 months of the year and 1.5
months I drive Italian stuff. I find the Fiat gutless like a Honda, but it
is funny feeling the horsepower come on after 4,000rpm of nothing. There is
much better feedback in the Marea in my past experiences than with a USDM
Civic. Also everything in a Fiat feels so light and boosted, not sure if I
like that, but it is different.

Among your choices, I'll go for the Toyota... But maybe you can check out
Honda Jazz.. It looks great... :thumbs:
