I'm looking at car engines to use in a motorcycle.
The Tomahawk is a Viper V-10 based motorcycle.
# 500 bhp (372 kW) @ 5600 rpm (60.4 bhp/liter); 525 lb.-ft. (712 Nm) @ 4200
rpm
# 10-cylinder 90-degree V-type, liquid-cooled, 505 cubic inches (8277
cc)
The Dodge Tomahawk can reach 60 miles an hour in about 2.5 seconds, and has
a theoretical top speed of nearly 400 mph. (estimated)
I'm planing to build one of those. I thought about using a different
engine,
any suggestions ?

Sure you are

i wont build it personally. i have about 100k, i own two hayabusas 1 stock
and the other is twin turbocharged. i thought about building a custom bike
with a car engine.

With all due respect, we're going to need some confirmation before we
believe someone with 100K to spend on a custom bike logged onto this site
and asked us for help.

You should probably ask the guys doing the actual project, because they'll
tell you which will fit into a motorcycle frame best and so on.
Also, I doubt you have hit the top speed on that twin turbo 'Busa, so why
buy an even faster bike?
**I'm assuming that he's telling the truth no matter how unlikely it seems,
for now.

So were did you find 2 turbos tiny enough for a busa. Im nto big into bikes
but I know a few guys who are and they said the Toyota MR2 turbo is what
alot of use.

The side fairing have been removed to allow room for the 2nd turbo. I've
hit 248 could have gone faster but didn't dare too, and the reason why i
want a faster bike is because there isnt alot of bikers in kuwait basically
everybody knows who you are and whats your bike. I want to satisfy my ego,
i wana become that guy with the custom bike that can go over 400.

I'm done with this thread. 250mph!?! Whole racing teams have been trying to
break that record with bikes with bigger engines.
You couldn't hit 400mph with some bike unless it had like a windshield and
things to protect you. If a bug hits you at that speed, it's probably going
through you.
Also, Kuwait isn't that big...Is there even room for you to hit that speed
(not on the street)?
chris_knows
i have gone that fast and i have seen busas in the US go faster.
where i did this ? it was on two roads 7th ring road & on my way to our
farm in wafra which is a long road.
hayabusa
Can you back any of that up? (I can believe that you had somewhere to hit
250mph), but can you show me a bike that has gone that fast?
chris_knows
yeah, I dont know what to say
I've posted in threads with more rediculous topics but I really cant reply
to this, no funny remark or anything
im speechless

I agree. I'm not that in to bikes anymore, but I know aswell as anyone here
that hitting even 200-mph on a bike will require nerves of steel and alot
of road!...250-mph seems a bit far fetched to me, even for a Haybusa!
400-mph is taking the biscuit
Maybe he got muddled up with mph and kph, lol.
