Hey kids. Long time no see.

I'll start with my bio (or my recent life change, because nothing prior is worthy of note.)

December 10th- I go to the cardiologist for a checkup on my hypertension (high blood pressure). I am greeted by the news that I have gained 30 lbs in a year and am on the highway to a heart attack. I'm sure there are lots of folks who've heard this from their doctor. But not at 16. He offers me the following ultimatum: "Lose weight, or you're going to die. No doubts about it."

December 12th- My family and I joined our local gym, which also happens to be the premier fitness center in Louisville, Louisville Athletic Club. They offer a nifty free hour with a personal trainer when you join to get you on a routine, so I took them up on it. It was an hour of hell, and I wasn't even doing tough stuff (now that I look back on it). Anyway. My first real workout. However, this was a different exercise experience from any I had ever had before: I enjoyed it. I knew that this time, I was actually going to stick to my diet and exercise plan.

May 12th- On May 12th, I had a 5 month checkup with the cardiologist. I had lost 56lbs. by then. From 253lbs at 6' 1", to 197lbs. My BMI had gone from 33.4 (3.5 points over the bottom threshold for obesity) to 26, which is considered 1 point above the bottom threshold for being overweight. My cardiologist was blown away. He said it was honestly the first time that someone had actually gone out and done what he told them to do. I was very gratified. By this time I had decided on a secondary goal for weightloss: to get certified as a fitness instructor. I loved it so much, and appreciated so much what my instructors had done for me, that I wanted to do the same for others.

Aug 13- I am a Johnny G. SPINNING certified Spinning instructor at my gym, Louisville Athletic Club, and I am getting AFAA Group Fitness certified in 14 days. I teach three classes a week. I weigh 175lbs, which is a BMI of 23.1, which is 1.8 points below the top threshold for healthy weight. But the best part about my success is that I am in good enough shape to be a fitness instructor. Not the fat kid, a fitness instructor. And I'm never going back.

Total weight loss: 78 lbs.
Percent of current body weight lost: 45%
BMI Reduction: 10.3
Former job: Dairy Queen Cook; $7.00 an hour
Current Job: Louisville Athletic Club Spinning instructor; $25.00 an hour

Anyway. That's me for you.

Now go exercise.

Well ok, I actually like this idea.

My name is Logan Peterson, Im 14 years old. Ive been into cars since I was 4 or 5 and know quite a bit about them. I just finished middle school and will be starting my first year of highschool this year. I used to have a girlfriend of 2+ years until very recently when my bitchy mother made us break up. :banghead: I still love her very much. We have a special bond. Theres really no one that will replace her. Im quick to respond to things Im offened by, and I will get extremely pissed if someone is acting like a dumb ****. I havent really had such good grades in the past (maybe a C+ average) but this year I plan on bring that up to a 3.5 and higher, and keeping it that way for all of highschool. When I was in 6th grade I started to get into that ever popular "Gothic" trend, and kind of stayed in that trend until the beginning of 8th grade when I realized how stupid it was to follow a trend. Yes, I even had those horrible pants with straps on them. :banghead: So I just decided to be myself. Now I just wear a black band shirt and jeans mostly, with the occasional colarred shirt thrown in. Im very into music, I love Slipknot, I consider myself to be the biggest Maggot alive. I know everything about them. I just love Metal in general. Slipknot, Soilwork, Gizmachi, Cannibal Corpse, As I Lay Dying, Mortician, Carpathian Forest, SKinless, God Among Insects, Cradle of Filth etc. If I had to listen to rap (which is almost impossible for me I HATE it) I would have to choose Xzibit over any other rapper. Im a very friendly person. If your nice to me, Ill return the favor.

I dont currently have a car, but I want one terribly! I would like to aqquire a older Chrysler product (1970-1959) and a 2003-2004 Volkswagen Golf GTI or R32. Hopefully the Volkswagen thing will happen. After driving my dads' Alfa Romeo 164L Im in love with European cars.
That pretty much sums me up.

okayy....my story is definitely going to be boring compared to Patricks

so basically I was born in Albany, New York on 19 February, 1988. Lived in a typical middle-class house, in a typical middle-class neighborhood in a small town about 20 minutes north of Albany. a touch less than 2 years later, my brother was born.

so Kindergaten comes, and I start going to Jew School. its cool until about 6th grade, then it starts pissing me off. so yeah. 1st grade comes, and we move into our current house, on basically the other side of our town. the current house is bigger than the other one. because of that, among other reasons, people call me rich. i used to deny it, but i've come to realise that we are pretty rich.

my father is an Endodontist (does root canals), and my mother stays at home. she used to be a Social Worker but quit after having my brother and I. my dad has his own practice in Albany, and is one of 3 endodontists in the area.

I'm going to be a Senior in high school this fall, and can't wait to go to college. i'm in the middle of the whole search/application process. my #1 choice is Syracuse University (go orange!), and I want to major in History, minor in Architecture. i've been a pretty good student in HS...i have about a 3.6, 3.7 GPA as of now.

you guys all know my car. the family cars go as follows: my dad has a 2004 Dodge Magnum RT, in Candy Apple Red; My mom has a 2002 Honda Odyssey in Candy Apple Red; I have the neon; My brother (even though he can't drive yet) has a 95 Ford Escort Wagon, in a dark red; and our classic car is the 1968 Pontiac GTO, in Flame Red.

I think that's it, actually.

Your family must love the color red  My family is actually pretty poor right now. I feel bad that I cant do anything about it. My dad lost his self owned car lot when I was in sixth grade.

well, I was going to say make a new thread with just bios and I'll pin it, but maybe Ill just pin this one.

I was born here in Ray-town (Racine) Wisconsin on March 10th, 1988. Apparently it was right after we moved to the new house. Since I was about 4-5 I've had an interest/love for cars. At about 8 I fell in love with the Chevy Beretta (Odd, I know). I also started liking girls at a much younger age than most guys, probably around 5y/o.

I basically endured hell in Elementry school because I was one of the "bigger" kids who would always get picked on, and that I did. At school, my "Friends" acted as if we weren't friends.

Middle school was slightly better because I got into a whole different croud (Went to a different school than everybody else) and basically, got made fun of there too. Close to the begining of 8th grade I transfered schools again (Actually about 2 weeks after Sept. 11 2001) because I couldn't take it anymore.

Most of 8th grade, and all of high school (So far) I've been at my current school. It really relaxed and I like it a lot. Small class sizes (This year the senior class, my class, will have about 15 kids) and we call our teachers by their first name, which makes it seem more like a familly. The way school should be.

After high school, I plan on going to college for Automotive technology. The school of choice was Wyotech, but I think I'll settle for MATC (Milwaukee area technical college) so I can stay close to my girlfriend, who as bad as it sounds at my age, I would do ANYTHING just to be able to be with.

I'm 17 years old with my 18th coming up in January.

Appearance wise, I'm a dead sexy 5' 11" black haired, brown eyed, leany muscle guy. (seriously) (well, on the muscle part, not the sexy part). My fashion sense is that equivilant to that from Genesis. (having no idea where to start). Refer to my picture that I'll be putting up soon for more info.

Life-wise, I'm a pretty busy guy, heading into my senior year in high school. I play a couple sports in and out of school. I'm a varsity athlete in track&field (I'll post a pic of my letterman jacket if anyone wants to see it). I play golf out of school. Academics-wise, I'm a pretty good graded student. I'm taking a NEVAC class for automotive tech this coming year, and I suspect I'm not going to learn anything from it. Got a lot on my plate this coming september, but it'll be a fun year.

Now watch as I post this and immediatley remember something that I forgot to add in.

Well where do I begin??
My name is Adrian and I was born (11/25/85) and raised here in the Chi. Both my parents are Mexican. I grew up in a middle class neighborhood. Gangs were at their highest in my hood when I was about 12. They have calmed down quite a bit. I went to an all white Catholic school from preschool to 8th grade. Then I attended one of the best and most selective High school in the City (out of 8,500 applications a year, the school takes in anywhere from 200-300). Fooled around in High school, my priorities weren't straight (I now regret that). Barely graduated on time. Moved on to College life :heh: This will be my 2nd year at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (I leave in 4 days  ). College is good, 3.5 GPA. I came to this forum to learn.

Car history

Ever since I can remember, I was always into cars. When I was left alone in the car, I would crawl up on the driver seat and moving the steering wheel pretending to drive= :driving: . I have always been into cars and I remember every car we have ever had.

83 Volkswagon Vanagon-dad/mom
84 Toyota Corolla GTS -dad(he sold the Corolla for $500, I'll never forgive him for that! :banghead: )

{out of both Nissan we made one: engine swap. sorry to say we kept the auto. The stick shift was so much fun to drive!}
92 Toyota CAmry LE -mom

And not too long ago I finally bought my car... Gina

94 (EG-6) Honda Civic VX Hatchback manual tranny with a B16A1 engine swap. It's got some more mods but I doubt people wish to read. All I will say is I love my Civic and wouldn't trade it for anyting else right now.

This is my story so far, hope you have enjoyed reading it.

Seriously though...

Let's see, I was born August 1st, 1986, in Regina, Saskatchewan. I have lived on a farm my whole life. I still have two parents, although my father has hairy-cell leukemia, and my mother has major heart problems. I have an older brother, and an older sister - making me the baby in the family....lmao.

I graduated from Dr. Martin LeBoldus High School(top HS in my city) in 2004, with honors. Since then I've worked, couldn't exactly decide what I wanted to do with my life, and still haven't.

As for vehicles in my family...
91 sundance - mine
92 caravan - dads
89 aries - sister
02 caravan - moms
85 ram 3/4 ton - dads
67 dodge 3 ton - dads
96 dakota - farm
47 dodge - mine :)

as ive said before, im looking into being an electrician, but school for that is an hour drive, each way...so im looking at getting an 01-02 neon for the gas mileage(especially with the damn gas prices these days!)

There is a hell of a lot more I could talk about, but it really wouldn't mean anything, so this is it.

Ok, here's a bit about me...

I was born in Aldershot, a town in the South East of England (Military town....in a Military Hospital actually, although it doesn't exist anymore :ohcrap: ) on 3 September 1982.

I grew up in a resonabley normal family although I only recently met my Dad for the first time lol. I've always had an interest in cars and used to love my Matchbox toys lol.

I left school and entered the wonderfull(ish) motor trade...and stayed in the same garge job till I finioshed my apprenticeship in 2002. I then felt like a change so I became a Security Guard (why, I still dont know) and have been so (in a couple of different roles) untill today...where I often use the phrase..."it pays the bills" lol

Oh, and I was made a Mod here at CF back in around April of last year (the one highlight of my Biography so far lol)....I'll add to it if needs be

I went to a Catholic school ever since grade 1 through to grade 8 and now go to a Catholic Highschool (more convient, not really catholic). I'm going into grade 11 in September and am planning on going to some kind of automotive school after i graduate. Also, i currently do not have a job but am wanting one lol.

Describing myself i guess i could say i'm kinda tall (5'10-11) and weigh about 125 pounds. I have brown hair/brown eyes and no body modifcations lol.

Currently the vehicles we own are:
1979 Chevy Silverado (mine)
1985 Chrysler 5th Avenue (dads, might be mine)

Oh, i have also been into cars for ever (always had to have my hotwheels/matchbox etc cars) and used to love going for car rides and pretending to drive (got a couple pics of that too)).

I guess thats it for now, keep a look out for a pic of myself in the "Post your pic" thread soon.

Ah well, got nothing to do for another half an hour, so I'll give this a shot too.

My name is Noel, 20 years old (4/3/85). I have always lived in the same place here in Puerto Rico.

At school, I was one of the kids that really didn't pay much attention to anyone's opinion, sometimes bully'ed some kids, but I liked to keep a low profile. Used to hang out with the wrong crowd outside of school and didn't say anything to anyone till I reached Intermidiate school when my dad passed away and I finally realized I needed to grow up.

Got kicked out (and banned) from one of the top 5 school's in the island, so I did high school in another one where I managed to mature quite a lot. Slowly gained good friends and started doing good in school. Became one of the class comedians once again.

During high school, bought my very own first car, the 1988 Toyota Supra turbo with targa top thats in my sig (still have it, but still dismantled).

Well, during my whole life, I have never been able to keep score of how many girls I've gone out with............ not that I cared for any of them until I lost my dad in the 6th grade (heart stroke). Met a girl, changed my life, now we hate each other...... blah blah blah blah...... met girls, so on so on. Now I'm with a beautiful girl whom I love very much. We've gone through a lot together. Her dad is the first "dad-in-law" that has actually grown quite fond of me (he even hated his own daughter when she broke up with me a week and a half ago for a few days). Yesterday I met her grandma which, for the first time ever, approved of anyone at all. They all even talk about us 2 getting married...............

Well, I currently study at the University of Puerto Rico, Technology of Industrial Engineering (associate's) and Computer Sciences (heck of it), then gonna get a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.

Oh yea. Got 2 dogs as pets, one is my mutt Lycos and the other one is the mini-doberman pincher I have mentioned before which I got as a present from my g/f's dad this summer. Took her pictures, just have to scan them this week.

So yeah...... the cars...

1988 Toyota Supra turbo with targa top - 101% mine

1998 Toyota Corolla - 70% mom's, 30% mine (selling it in christmas for a new Highlander)

2000 Toyota 4Runner - 90% dad-in-law's, 10% mine (they live half an hour away from my house, so I use it whenever I visit them)

2004 Dodge Viper SRT-10 - still only 1% mine or so......... the rest belongs to my dad-in-law and my g/f's grandpa......

199? Dodge Viper GTS - After the small accident, I don't know what has been done to it.

2005 Scion xB - Soon to come! But it's gonna be mostly my g/f's, but she better not be a bitch and lend it to me since I'm the one teaching her how to drive and giving her and her friends rides all the time :cussing:

1998 Toyota Supra TT with Targa top - someday.............

We had anything but an easy life....lived in a trailer with holes in the floor for the first few years of my life...so I've learned to appreciate even the small things. I have 2 sisters and a brother. I'm the middle child.
At the age of 20, I found a lump which they could not determine what it was. After a mammogram, an ultrasound and finally a biopsy during the Christmas season of 2000, they finally determined it was benign. Scary nonetheless as my grandmother died of breast cancer at a young age.
Recently, I've had another test come back abnormal (precancerous cells were found) and I'm currently awaiting the results from the second test they ran, I should know something by the end of the week. Needless to say, I've been through a lot for someone my age.
I do not have any children, but I have a dog which I consider to be a child (she seriously thinks she's human). Her name is Zephyr and she's helped me through a lot of bad times.
