Im so tired of people backing up cars that arent even there's... what are
you runnin' under the hood?
post what kinda car you have, hp, tourque, weight, ect.
2000 Chevrolet Blazer LT
If you ever need a pull out of snow, call me.
LoL.. will do..
400hp(to the wheels)
b.t.w. does anyone have more hp than me? :cool2:
As of right now, I have no idea what the exact numbers are for my car. It's
an unfinished, untweaked engine. The car as a whole needs alot of work as
well. But if i were to give some rough numbers...
1969 Dodge Dart Custom
Weight: 3200 pounds
HP: 160-190 BHP
Torque: 180-220 ft-lb
There are so many things i need to do with this car... everything was just so neglected and uncared for. When I see it, it makes me want to cry because such a once beautiful car was so uncared for by its previous owners... and now to bring it back to life it will take alot of time and money.
 Im gonna suggest that you restore you car. Trust me, when I first got my Z it was thrashed, had a salvage title, and had no engine! just look at it now.... I wouldnt trade my car for a ferrari 360 modena. I love my Z, IT was well worth repairing. Cost me a good 12k, and for every penny of that was well worth it . RESTORE YOUR CAR.
*Best day of the 16 years i've been on this earth*, starting my Z out of the shop. :heh:
I will restore it, but that will take a long time, coming from a family with no money. I gotta do everything slowly. Last summer I bought the engine and put it in. This summer I'm going to buy the tranny and put that in. also have to fix the exhaust manifolds, get new intake, new heads, camshaft, replace the front end, replace front and rear panels, get new paint, and fix the upholstery. See what i mean by this will take a while and alot of money? If im only able to buy one part like a 150 dollar tranny then this will take me quite some time.
I think my Ranchero might have about 200hp. It weighs about 1 ton.Other than that I'm not to sure.
ummm, i have a 1998 GMC Jimmy, and i believe my stats are about the same as Vassers, only only a little less accounting for milage and age. I also have a 1977 International Scout II that i am currently restoring, it has an AMC 304 under the hood, im not sure on the specss of that right now.
one of em':
2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 6-spd
405 HP and about 400 LB/FT of torque
0-60 in 3.9s..coming in at 12.3-.4 secs at 120MPH in the 1/4 mile
see ya on the road JZX!! :driving:
1990 Chevrolet Beretta GTZ Quad 4 5 speed
120 lb/ft tourque
1998 Dodge Neon Sport
150 hp @ 6800 RPM
131 lb/ft @ 5600 RPM
Well, im pretty sure I would have one of the slowest cars here then. Once I get the money I'm gonna buy headers, heads, cam, intake manifold... and i should get my baby to about 300hp. That should allow it to own at least a few people around these parts. except maybe the guy with a 426 hemi in his VW Bug.
:driving: now what was wrong with this post??... im guessing on the torque and the 1/4 mile time.. ok .. twas a lie!! :banghead: .. I need a dyno. :ohcrap:
here it comes....
I wonder who has the biggest (or smallest) penis :badrazz:
oh yeah biggest penis would be me. hands down.
oww. Why the hell did you hit me?! Hit one of them! And you wish about the penis thing!
Goodness...what are we reduced to here?
Ok...just so this ends...I have the smallest.
Now can we move on to different topics of some relative importance...maybe even car stuff!!
.LOL... I think he hit both of us...
nope it was just you jzx. just a friendly pimp slap. join the ranks.
 ... but it really hurt.. .. but im all better now
YoUz mah DaWg SuPer JeW.
is being someones "DaWg" good or bad?
I thought you lived in new york. . translation: You're my friend
What is so wrong with those times? They sound about right.
Most magazines get around the times that he has posted, but that's not to say that he could be a better driver than a magazine editor.
OMG jzx i love u man... er dawg ... that is my dream car (thats urs in ur sig. right?) that will be my car in about 10 years but for now i have a 1992 Honda Accord (black) with (i just researched last night cuz i had no idea) the stock 125 hp @ 5200 rpms, 137 lb/ft @ 4000 rpm, the 2.2 liter 4 banger and the rusty tail pipe  ... but thats all stock and since my car has 207k miles on it, im sure u can pimp slap some numbers down. since my exhaust is rusty, i am planning on gettin a new exhaust thats the size of a large coffee cup, big enough to make a sweet low sound, but not too big too where i attract too much attention (remember my car is old and stock! ) and Vaspier, is that ur car in ur sig.? cuz if it is, it looks fine to me  yall need to insert pics of ur car in ur posts, im goin to i just need to change the size of the file. oh and one more thing, is their a difference between bhp and hp? im not too sure i know what the lil "b" stands for...
one more thing... can u put in a link to ur cardomain page jzx?
JZT: You must not know a thing about my car then....look up the stats for a 2002 Corvette Z06 online......they are right there for ya bud. The track times were from VIR(Virginia International Raceway, near Danville, Va.) when I raced it there on the track. It does not get much more factual that that. Mine's bigger and faster than your's.... don't be jealous
THANK YOU Vassar, it is nice to see someone knows a thing or two about what I stated on here. It is a totally stock 02' Vette Z06...anyone knowing anything about that car would know that what I stated were the specs...ARE the specs. Afterall, if you are up with vettes, you'd know that is Chevrolet's Halo model of the Vette. **HIGH FIVE** on that one. Hey listen, maybe we can put our debate on aggressive driving on the sidelines and teach all these teens a thing or two about cars! :smoke:
HEY! I came here to learn about cars! And so far VWhobo and (for the most
part) everybody else has done a damn good job of it. So no, I don't know
that much about cars. But I'm still here to learn. Also, one last thing. I
am not the kind of teenager who wants to drag race a Civic thinking it's
faster than your ZO6 and other cars faster out there on the road. My car
might be considered slow running mid to low 15s at the quarter mile (though
I have yet to try it out for myself and quite frankly, I'd rather get it
running right first, so I'm in no hurry.
I don't know if this was considered a rant, but if it was, I'm truely sorry for it. Just had to type this reply...
BTW, has anyone seen or heard from VWhobo lately? He hasn't been on from what I can see....
I'm in agreement with that satty, I admit to not knowing everything about cars but some people here will persist in having a go!
yeah. i live in Upstate New York...all we have are posers up here and i dont listen to/understand ebonics. or their poor attempt at it. :banghead:
Thanks bro..., yes it is my car.pimp slap what numbers?? SuperJew is the CF
pimp slapper, not me  ..... for the cardomain page just right
click on my sig and go to properties. .Anything I forgot just tell
me. Oh and SuperJew, I said DAAWWG in a jokeing manner.. not seriously.
well good night.
I was guestimating my torque and my 1/4 mile time... i wasnt calling seadoin a liar... i know the zo6 is fast as shit.. those stats are correct .. mine were not.. i need to get it dyno;ed....gppd night..
A word to the moderators - people have been starting their own threads with
posts that contain their car statistics and pictures Post pics of cars
This is what happens when we don't have a vehicles forum. I'd like to make a suggestion that you tie these loose threads together and then merge this topic with the other topic in the link that I've supplied. Then if a new hybrid topic was made, it could be located as sticky at the top of the "General Chat" forum. Let me know what you think.
I wish that was my car. Unfortunatly its not. Although its the same year, mine is in much worse condition. This car is what im going to get my car to look like. I have those wheels already, but i need to get the body fixed completely and paint it. Also im going to make it a darker, more flat red than that, and the roof and hood will also be a flat black. I'm not going to worry about any of that until i get the engine all fixed up though.
While true to some degree...the pic posts still pop up everywhere.
I'm sure Admin will take your suggestion and give it some thought again.
Thanks for getting back to me BavarianWheels.
haha jzx, i meant "u" as in general, and pimp slap numbers like the hp/torque numbers because its so old
Top speed no more than 140 km or 85mp/h
around 10km per litre
1972 Morris/Leyland Mini Clubaman 1100.
Anyone got the Specs to a 1999 Toyota Camry CE? I have been looking, but
dont see em...
This is what I got:
1997 Camry (Same model 5 year area):
1/4 Mile: 90 mph @ 15.5
147 lb. ft.
2.2 L Inline 4
2,976 lbs. (Curb Wieght)
Totally Stock! :banghead: :cussing:
1994 Acura Integra LS. Exhaust, Intake, Tires, and Wheels. Probably around
25hp more than stock.
I havnt even bothered to take it onto the track. It's not ready :-).
hey i was wondering if anyone had a Ford Torino cuz i just saw tha new Starsky and Hutch and i never really knew what those were until now... badass muscle car  :hi: so if u have one or know someone with one then just post the pic and tell what it has... i was lookin on cardomain.com and there were some fully restored torinos that looked real badass. How much Horse power can that thing pull?
I'm willing to bet that I have the slowest car on the board.
Keep in mind, this IS NOT a daily driver.
1954 VW Beetle
around 45 lbs/tq
4 speed manual
4.37 open rear end
0-60: ~30 seconds
QM: ~30 seconds @ 60 mph
It literally WILL NOT turn the tires over. Won't chirp them, nothing.
As for daily driver:
120 HP @ 3800 RPM
275 lbs/tq from 1000 to 2200 RPM
4 speed manual
It'll roast the tires all day in 1st and 2nd and scratches in third.
Don't have any times, but i figure 0-60 in about 10-11 seconds and a QM around 17-18
After the build I'm shooting for ~180HP and ~330 lbs N/A, if i can get a T04B cheap enough I'm looking for 200 HP and 400 lbs (not too shabby for 300 cubes :hi: )
I bet I have one of the slowest cars here..well I have two car so I'll list
Here's car number one:
'93 Ford Escort 5 door estate
Output - 90bhp
0-62 - 15secs (approx.)
Top Speed - 100mph (approx.)
Engine - 1800cc Turbo, Intercooled diesel
Transmission - 5sp Manual FWD
Here's car number two:
'86 Toyota Corolla 1.3, 3 door Hatchback
Output - 75bhp
0-62 - 12secs (approx.)
Top Speed - 110mph (approx.)
Engine - 1300cc NA 12valve petrol
Transmission - 5sp Manual FWD
The Escort will probably have to go soon and I'll be replacing it with something a little bit quicker....I hope, gee I've only been driving for about three years and already I've got through more cars than most people have hot dinners lol
1.9 TDi Turbo'd and intercooled
Manual 5 speed
0-60 11.5 secs
Top speed 135mph
4 speed Auto.
0-60 about 11/12 secs and will get to about 110 mph..
Two Ford Fiestas, both XR2i's, one is a 1.6 and the other a 1.8. Bought to be Green-lane'd (unorganised rallying) and just thrashed.... 1.8 XR2i will do 60 in approx 7.5 secs and will struggle upto 140 mph ish..
Citroen BX 1.7 Turbo diesel. About 75 bhp. 60 in about 18/20 secs prob do 120 mph.
Ford Saphire. 2.9i V6 Auto. 0-60 9 secs and would probably do 120mph
There are more but can't be bothered to write about them...
Dude nice set of cars!
Hmmmm.. Their nothing special, just cars you can pick up for peanuts, play with, destroy and then scrap or use for parts. :smoke: None of the “toys” have MOT’s or tax and if you add all of them together they didn’t cost me more than a 1/10 of what the passat cost me. :hi: Looking to sell just about all of them that are worth anything, including the passat in about 3 months, scrape together all of my hard earnt savings and buy some serious metal, i.e. Vette
You have some nice motors there! how can you afford all of them? and you said most of them weren't taxed...I sure hope you've SORN (Statutory Of Road Notification) them coz you know what out freinds in Swansea are doing now lol! And what ever possed you to get theCitroen BX?....Still, at least it's slower off the mark than my Escort so at least it appears a bit better now, oh and 120mph.....you sure?
R u sure that will all that stuff put together you could buy a Corvette? They are a lot of bling and all....
Welll.......maybe if they were all sold for the right price, it might make for a nice down payment here in Cen. Cali.. Maybe???
By the way. I have an 1982 Toyota Supra L-type
The stats are in the shop, but here are some rough estimates:
Non-turbo I-6 (Engine #5MGE) <-(hope to fixe that soon)
QM~15 sec. at ~130 (the mph above 85 are estimated because the digital speedometer only goes up to 85 mph)
Car needs alot of work
All numbers are estimated...
I recon if you raise that 0-60 figure to 9.5secs you'll be closer, given the power of the car!!!
that the thing though, it is quick up to 60 mph, but i give a solid number
later this week, how bout that.
All numbers are estimated, except the weight.
Dont take this the wrong way, but 0-60 in 3.5 seconds is quicker than most Ferrari's! so that's more of a wild stab in the dark than an estimate lol :2cents:
Let me get better numbers up there,
0-60 mph~8 sec.
Thanx for your :2cents: lol
I need more solid numbers, but wish to have those numbers eventually
That's a bit more like it!....the weight seems far too excessive too though :hi:
Ok, a maths lesson/question for you m8. All those cars (and some more i have too) didn't even cost me 1/10th of what the Passat cost me and the Passat used approximately 1/8th of my savings that i've built up in 14yrs of working... See how now? Also note my Golf + modifications cost approximately 2/3rds of what my passat cost but the insurance claim only paid me 1/4 of what i had spent on the car in total.. Have fun y'all now.. he he he.. :orglaugh:
That weight is what is found on my car. It was a steel unibody construction in the 1980's. Atleast for that car.
3.5 seconds is faster than ALL Ferraris, the official 0-60 time for the Enzo is 3.55 secs and that has 660 bhp, revs to 9000 rpm and has a F1 style gearbox.. Maybe a 150 bhp car could accelerate that fast.... IF YOU DROVE IT OFF A CLIFF!!! Coffin Type R, your 8 sec estimate is far more believable/accurate.
I see, I'll leave the weight well alone as I'm not used to working in 'pounds'
Maybe even higher lol...as for your maths lesson, I'll leave that to the brainy people here
Hmmm... Drive it off a cliff you say. There have been times where i have seriously contemplated that. lol :orglaugh:
What did it do to you then? :hi: :ticking:
I have had it for about two years now, and heres what i fixed on it;
2-exhaust leaks (sorry 'bout spelling)
and partridge in a pair of trees lol
What's wrong with your spelling? btw, I'm assuming rotors are discs?
oh, yeah, there disc.
I need to get this exhaust leak and intake taken care of by the first part of april, so i can smog it.
Stupid smog laws in Fresno, more stringent than anywhere else in the State of California.
Sorry! Most of those cars I have never heard off cuz they aint in the states...the Golf and Passat I know but some I dont...sorry!
Umm...where are you getting the 3.55? Over here the 0-60 at R&T and others is 3.23....Maybe that is the Euro Spec Car, or perhaps that is 0-62 or perhaps...
3.23? thats the quickest i've ever heard.. One of our magazines went to italy before the Enzo was released and even the Ferrari test driver couldn't get it faster than 3.55 secs..
See, you're learning, all cars over here, or at least most of them, are measured to 62mph due to 62mph being 100kph....I seem to remember already saying that though so I'll shut up now. Anyways, That would explain the extra milliseconds
No you havent said that to me (to my knowledge), but I have learned it from different magazines...yes...perhaps that explains the different times, but 2 mph doesnt take .3 seconds I dont think...maybe it does...I dont really know...
Of course it does, that's only about a quarter of a second (or just over)..and It might even of been this thread I said about the 0-62 in
I couldn't find any official times 4 my car, but my fastest 0-62 mph
estimation with a stop watch was 6.5 sec
Here are some stats for my '03 GMC SUBURBAN (Yukon XL):
engine: vortec 8100 V8- 356 hp @4200
torque: 476 lb.-ft @3200
weight (gross): 3900 kg
Did u know the VW jetta is called a bora in europe, and the corolla they have is different then here, also the honda accord ( I wonder why?).
Different regulations and needs....names are different cauz they are different cars...I think...
Um...the Corolla it the Corolla and the Accord is the Accord over here...your Jetta is our Bora though, older Golf saloon's were Jetta's over here though!
What is a "saloon"? I have just wondered that for a while...please answer my question...
A saloon is what you guys would call a sedan...usually have four doors with a boot..ie; the Bora or Jetta
The corollas in the US look very different then the ones sold in europe, same 4 the new accords.
I see, I thought you meant they had different names! I just checked out the differences and I can safely say, I'm glad we have the type we do...of both cars lol
Boot? OO a trunk!
That reminded me of something I heard. GM was selling a Buick Regal (I think it was the Regal) in Canada but didn't translate the name or attempt to look up the name in another language. So they sold it as the Regal up there but nobody bought it. The reason for this being that Regal (unless I'm wrong on what car it actually was) in most places in Canada, meant the equivelent (sp?) of the word gay in English. And I'm not talking about the happy term either.
just like the Buick LaCrosse...its a French slang term for masturbation.
I was gonna explain what a boot was too but I figured you'd get it :hi:
Well I have...I wonder why in different places there is such a difference in names for stuff...
to be different?
Like a bonnet... :hi:
that's all I know.
That's actually exactly what I was talking about. not gay, but masturbation. Thank you SJ.
My cars stats are Slow Horsepower, at not enough torque.
Hey, don't think there are that many more diffrenentations between the USA and UK car parts names..
Why are you interested in gay masturbation? They make sites for that you know. :hi:
Damn, ok, now I have to do it. SHUT UP ASSHOLE!
I wanna go cry now.
He has already looked at them all...
That may be so, but atleast I haven't looked at them all twice a day like you.
Hey, I'm no expert, but Car And Driver Magazine, clearly states that the
0-60mph time for both the Enzo, and the Saleen S7, is 3.3 seconds.
Just what I've read...
Umm...I was making a joke...sorry if it was taken seriously...umm...well...Twice a day? Only that much? You underestimate me Satty...

ROFL horribly misinformed, thank god you corrected yourself but...
-just like the Buick LaCrosse...its a French slang term for masturbation.-
If this were true, the car wouldn't sell well in Quebec, the rest of Canada couldn't care less, except for perhaps a few elected officials in Ottawa trying to get the French vote. Lacrosse is an brutally violent indoor/outdoor sport developed by the french and native americans way back in the day, capitalizing one letter and using it to represent chokeing the chicken seems a bit odd to me.... but it is the french, nay worse, French Canadians. :banghead:
Change your smily!
Nothing special here--150 horses at the crank from the stock 3.8L, who knows what it's pushing at the wheels though. Maybe close to 140 with the catback exhaust setup, but it all depends on how much power is lost through the drivetrain. I don't know, I don't have the money to dyno a near-stock car. The wheels are a lot heavier than my stock 15's so that doesn't help either. My car looks a lot better than it would perform. ;)
